The Chatroom - Again...

Hey, I was wondering whether it was OK for new members to use the guestroom - I know there was an incident a week or so ago, where they were being abusive...but I'm not sure if they're the same people.

Just making sure it's OK - they seem nice enough girls, but it's a shame they don't use the forum.

i know i went in there and had someone insult me, telling me to put **** on my face or something, after that i left, i had everyone saying who's Ruth star and whats tibb or something, there should be a post limit for it.
One of them was obnoxious the others seemed alright.

I hate those kinda people.

I think the chatroom should be limited to those with a certain number of posts, a bit like the way I don't make banners for those with less than 100 posts.

Can't agree more, I mean, no offcence to the new ones but we aren't sure they are reliable in the way we don't know them.

I agree, people shouldnt be aloud to use the chatroom to insult us. Of course, only a minority of the people do that, but still.

It is fine for anyone to use the chatroom as long as they follow the rules of the forum. Yes we had an incident the other week but Red sorted that out and made sure the school were aware that they were abusing this site and it's members.

I dont like the idea of limiting people based on their post count and at the end of the day until newer members started using it the chatroom sat covered in cob webs!

I've had that before, silly people saying "Who are you?" and then everyone left just cos I'd joined, the latter I found particularly upsetting and one or two of my friends on here were aware of it happening cos I'd spoken to them about it.

I would say keep the chatroom open to everyone, but block the IP addresses of anyone who is abusing the privelege.
