My cousin's, godmother's, friend, (compliacted or what!) works on the BB production team, and apparently by the end of BB8 they had narrowed down 3 ideas for BBX (which they were nicknaming "BB 8.5" for the time being. Anyway the short list ended like this:

Big Brother - with the same kind of rules as Shiprecked.

Big Brother the Battle.

Big Brother - Secrets

I want to see Big Brother the Battle. Ideas could have changed by now though.

I don't get how the Shipwrecked rules could compliment BB's. They're 2 completly diffirent shows with 2 completly diffirent forats, athough since no one gets evicted from Shipwrecked it will probably be chosen, so the cost can be kept down.

Well 8.5 wouldn't be bad but I have to ask, before BB Panto and Teen BB, was there all this rumour and speculation?

If so I think BB8.5 will be a disappointment!

P.S. I think we should start calling it BB8.5 since thats the real working title.

I think that'd be amazing but it would probably cost to much money so its really unlikely. I think they should change our normal BB to this to be honest.

Also can someone tell me the rules of Shipwrecked - I don't watch it.

There are 2 teams and every week a new arrival comes. Te new arrival spends time with both teams. After a number of days the new arrival has to decide with team they would like to join. The team with the most people in at the end wins. Not sure how they could adapt this to BB unless they had an individual competition to win.

I hope it's either the battle of secrets.

I'll tell you my reasoning:

- It was only announced on the 24th of August that Celebrity Big Brother had been axed, exactly one week before the final of Big Brother 8. If what {Checkmate} is saying (they had at least 3 ideas before BB8 ended) is correct, then I find it hard to believe that producers of the show could have tabled at least three ideas for the show, and organised for the final, in the space of a week.

- According to VoG, who is an 'insider' and has supplied us with correct inside information before, the staff at Endemol had not been called to work on the show until after Big Brother 8 had ended. This contradicts what {Checkmate} is saying.

- I think {Checkmate} has supplied us with incorrect "inside information" before. I remember what happened during the "newspaper cutting" incident like it happened yesterday, and I'm around 75% sure it was {Checkmate} that started it.

- "My cousin's, godmother's, friend" - that sounds pretty dodgy.

- "Ideas could have changed by now though." - this could potentially mean that they were never ideas in the first place.

I said the had 3 ideas by the END of BB8. They would hardly cancell CBB without any ideas now would they?

I never said they had been called back.

Faur points though Matt you've got a good investigation going there. But sorry to piss on your parade, but your wasting your time.

VoG said that BBX would involve secret rooms e.g. the garden.

This gives me the feeling that if these 3 are the main ideas on the table it will be the battle thats chosen.

The first piece of "inside information" VoG posted on the forum was that BB8 would end on August 31st.

I believe it ended on August 31st.
