X Factor hopeful Leon Jackson has been struggling to control his nerves as the remaining 12 contestants prepare for the live finals.

The 18-year-old reveals in tonight's Xtra Factor that he still feels uncomfortable performing for an audience.

He said: “You just realise how much is involved in a one-minute 30-second piece of music. Even though I’m singing in front of a small group of people, it's still really nerve-wracking because I’m used to just singing in my living room.”

Vocal coach Yvie Burnett admitted that she had been concerned about the teenager, saying: “I was quite worried about Leon because he was so scared. I really noticed just how much Leon wants this and it's quite scary to see how much he wants it.

"I hope wanting it so much doesn’t make him so nervous that he’s not going to do his best."

The Xtra Factor airs tonight at 7.45pm on ITV2. The X Factor returns to ITV1 next Saturday.

Poor Leon Hope he can keep it together for Saturday. He could really be amazing

He is the only guy I like, he ent the best singer, but has such a cute face and he is a lovely lad, his my mum's fav :bigsmile:

I dont like him so im not bothered really but i like everyone to sing there best so i hope he does but still dont like him my mum is single AND :sleep:

That's the only thing that annoys me about him, other then that he is ok. He ent as good as KIm though :bigsmile:

I think he's quite average and I'm surprised he even made the last 6 of the boys category.

He already has a sob story so I don't see why he also feels the need to play the nerves card. I'm sure he's a very nice guy and that's how he comes across but he really annoys me.
