Animated Avatars?

Are animated avatars and banners now banned on the forum due to them slowing down the internet when trying to load TiBB?

I think animated avatars should be no more than 200 - 250 KB.

Click on CONTROL PANEL/OPTIONS towards the top right of your screen.

Click EDIT PROFILE.

Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see the section where you can click BROWSE to change your avatar. You basically browse through your computer for a picture you've saved, then double click it.

Then finish by clicking EDIT PROFILE towards the bottom of the screen.

OK, one of the members whose already posted in this thread has an animated avatar posted 4 times in his signature. Surely this is a waste of space, since they're about 1.39MB each.

Yeah, I expect it slows down the loading of pages aswell.

CathalOS - yours is 1.0something MB :) it's OK, not ridiculously sized, but I was just saying that posting_spice's is up there 4 times and it might slow down some page-loading and all that...

Loads of these new members keep breaking the banner size rules and I think the bigger the animated avatar, the longer it takes for people's pages to load. Why can't new member's just read the rules?
