The French Government announces in an official statement that the couple separates "by mutual assent". "Very happened very well" and their son, Louis will be kept by his mother, specified the lawyer of the couple.

"Cecilia and Nicolas Sarkozy announce their separation by mutual assent. They will not make any comment ".
They are the only words from the Government today at 3pm.

Cecilia and Nicolas Sarkozy have been married since 1996. Persistent rumours had made state for several days of the separation of the presidential couple, supplied with the repeated absences of the First Lady with her husband. The Head of the State is waited Thursday in Lisbon for a European top.

This is the first time in French History and under the 5th Republic that it happens.

The scandal is huge in France, all the TV news are talking about that, tomorrow morning all the newpapers will be printed about it.
The French Government doesn't know how people will react.

Didn't you know that French people are more passionated in the First Lady's life than the President one ? That's true, she's so popular, the most popular one by far. She has made plenty of fashion photoshoots, appearing in runway shows, wears Gucci, Dolce and Gabana...something new in France. Cecilia is a revolution and she still be one now.

People are passionated about their life. 2 years ago she had on other boyfriend while she was with Nicolas, the photos were everywhere, what a huge scandal. French people were passionated and couldn't wait for the next newpapers.
