Lee quits Fame

They say everyone has their 15 minutes of fame but Big Brother contestant Lee Davey has decided his time is up.

Only last year the antics of the Leicester fitness instructor were being beamed into millions of living rooms across the country on a nightly basis.

When he left the house, he continued to hit the headlines after ditching his girlfriend and falling for the charms of his fellow housemate Sophie.

Their wedding just three months ago was even the subject of a documentary on Sky One and made a picture spread in a celebrity magazine.

Now Lee and Sophie have left the fame game behind and moved to Leicester.

Lee had been sleeping on his brother's sofa but for the time being they are staying in a friend's flat while they prepare to move into a home of their own next month.

Lee, 23, is now a social worker and Sophie, 26, will be going into the same profession.

Big Brother is a game show and Lee was playing a game.

I don't think being on the show should have any bearing on what a housemate does afterwards in the normal world.

I do agree with you James, but I still think that Lee would make an appalling social worker.

It's very hard to judge what makes a good social worker. Being able to relate to people in a non patronising way, being able to empower people are the most important factors I would have thought.

Social work is diverse - it depends what branch. One thing I do know is you don't just become a social worker overnight. he will probably be a social work assistant. Social Work training is three years long, unless you already have a degree in which case you can do it as a post grad certificate.

Whatever they do, good luck to them. They played the celeb couple card and it didn't really work. The celeb couple that fascinated people were the couple who resisted the urge and wanted to be private...............
