Big Brother's Nush to have rod removed from leg

Former Big Brother contestant, Nush Nowak, is to have a 12 inch steel rod removed from her leg next week.



It was inserted after her knee and thigh were shattered when she was mugged in London in August.

The 23-year-old was on her way home following a night out with Big Brother housemate Scott Turner when she was attacked, says The Sun.

Nush said: "I can't wait. I need physiotherapy to help me walk normally but - fingers crossed - this is the start of getting over the accident."

Nush hoping to resume yoga career despite injuries

Former Big Brother contestant Nush Nowak is hoping to resume her career as a yoga instructor despite the horrific injuries she received in a mugging.

Nush was left with her left thigh broken in two places and her knee cap shattered in eight after the attack in London's Kentish Town in August.

Contrary to recent reports, the 12ins rod inserted into her thigh during emergency surgery will be there for life.

However, she hopes to have the wire that is holding her knee cap together removed within the next few months.

A spokeswoman for Nush said: "It is hoped that the wire will be removed within a couple of months allowing her to get back to full fitness and resume her training as a Yoga Instructor as she works toward releasing a unique fitness video and book next year."
