Theres an article here about a girl doing an experiment at home, having an accident and injuring herself, which her mum believes is the school's fault, in part. What do you think?

If I understand it correctly the School asked the pupil to do chemical tests at home without supervision.

If that is true the schoool should be prosecuted and someone if found guilty should end up in jail....

Did they ask them to do the experiment at home, or were they expecting them to book time in the school lab?

I have done an experiment, which when my brother tried it, caused the complete evacuation of his school. The difference was that i was properly instructed to do it in a fume hood. It completed without incident.

I don't see how you can blame the school. Imagine at a church you are told to light a candle at home. Is it the churches fault if you pour petrol over the candle?
