Proof of boys' bright future

SIMON Cowell has given X Factor flops Futureproof a lifeline – by booking them for the show’s live tour.

Show bosses announced last night there will be nine acts on next year’s tour – up from eight.

Spiky Simon was devastated after two of his acts – Hope and Futureproof – made the final two on Saturday.

He had the casting vote and ended the boyband’s dream after their version of Andy Williams’ Can’t Take My Eyes Off You failed to impress.

An insider said: “Simon felt terrible but Hope were the better act. He’s going to make it up to them though by letting them come on the tour.”

Meanwhile, brother and sister act Same Difference – Sean and Sarah Smith – have been tapped up by the producers of smash-hit movie High School Musical.

They got a call after performing a song from it last week.

But X Factor lost out to BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing – averaging 7.8million viewers to Strictly’s 8.7million.

I was just thinking that. Anyway, they wont make it big, they are rubbish, just a typical annoying boyband.
