Last year's X Factor runner-up Ray Quinn has been dropped by his record label after just eight months.
The singer came second in the last series of the reality contest, behind current chart-topping winner, Leona Lewis.
Quinn's debut album topped the chart, but Sony BMG has now decided to take him off its books.
The 19-year-old is reportedly looking at other projects. A source told the Mirror: "Ray is focusing on TV and West End stuff now. TV execs are even saying he could get his own chat show."

Seems a bit off, I mean I don't like him but he got a number 1 album, more then what Leona got. He was also a judge on a reasonable successful ITV show.

Meh. Not heard from him for ages anyway.

I haven't heard anything from him in ages so it doesn't bother me.

I feel a bit bad for him, but he'll probably do really well in theatre or TV which is more suited to him. He's an entertainer, not a recording artist.
They only wanted Ray for a quick buck unfortunately, hence the rushed album of covers.

I think he is better on TV anyway!

He should go into Panto, he would be good in that. I never thought he would have a good pop career anyway.
Lets hope ITV haven't read that

I'm not sure there was really much future for him as a solo artist, beyond doing old swing covers.

Agreed
He's a one trick pony, which is good if what you do appeals to EVERYBODY but otherwise he's got too specific a target audience to become a decent success.
Even his TV appearance was only down to the fact he had a past winning dance competitions, otherwise they wouldn't have wanted him. Then he'd have no TV career to speak of anymore.
So it was more about luck. Maybe he really is destined for things less in the media eye.
Im not a big fan of his anyway...
The only thing he's got going for him is the "cheeky lovable smiler" image, and he's not even all that good at that.

Still not forgiven him for staying over Nikitta

Why would ITV be bothered by that? They don't have contracts with him or anything...
