I think this might be quite good, but it sounds like a bit of a weird concept! Just go and video of some students around exam time and you will see sleep deprivation. Or some doctors?? hehe

I think it sounds good as well.

Its absolute heaven for a certain forum member here as well, Dermot not just presenting but living in there with them  As he's the only one to be allowed to sleep in there we might get some footage of Dermot in his pyjamas lol I'm sure Amy would love that

I'm watching this show tonight not just for Dermot , god i can't wait to see him on my screen again , but also for a guy called Craig who lives in Wiltshire who happens to live down the same road half the staff in my store live at he's doing it to see how long he'll last, obviously wanting the money but likes the idea of the show, i feel he must be MADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

I've just started watching this, it looks good. Rather them than me though, they make me tired just looking at them. At least it will give e4 a bit of a winter dusting off anyway, not looked at it much since bb. It will be interesting to see how long they can last, even if it is mad.

Don't show them the :sleep:smiley though.

Well they are all sleeping at the moment - in the middle of a designated 'sleep break'. Doesn't this sort of defeat the object :conf:

Dermot was on Richard and Judy there. He explained about the naps that they were in uncharted territory and were taking medical advice, and didn't want to cause harm.

A sleep expert on the show said that without the sleeps they probably wouldn't last three days, even with the incentive of the £100,000 prize.

One of the contestants was interviewed as well.

LEE, hubby and I watched this too. I couldn't decide who I wanted to win! It would have been nice to see a fresh face win but then The Power didn't win last year so it was good to see him win his 11th world title. A damn good match - we were on the edge of our seats chewing our nails with excitement!

They still all look exhausted even with a 2 hour power nap. I thought they'd do it with no sleep, but if they'd never make it to the end, and its safer, well so be it. The thing about bb is they were always having a nap, especially Gos the king of the kippers. So we should be used to it.

I'm not sure about the concept of this programme - could be very dangerous.

Though I must say they seem a really well selected bunch - good personalities. Hope they do this well in BB5.

Must say though after watching Dermot in his home that our Amy is doing a good job keeping it clean and tidy and looking after her husband. Did you join him in the sleep deprivation or be there to meet his every need?

THE PROGRAMME IS A LITTLE DISTURBING, MORALLY,

BUT AS FOR DERMOT, UNWASHED, RUFFLED, IN HIS JIM JAMS....
WOOF!!

Well, I watched it last night and I have to say that I find Dean hilarious. He seems adamant that he WILL be the winner, and when he had that hallucination...well lets just say I think it brought him back to reality a bit. Found it quite sad when Salma left, even though I had only watched it for a while, she seemed really cool and someone who would liven the house up a bit (but that would be a bit difficult since they would all be falling aslep :sleep::sleep:)

I just went on the channel 4 website, and it seems that Lucy has opted out because she is too tired...:(

How is everyone else finding this? I think it is fantastic! (maybe that is just because I am really bored!)

I am going to stick my neck out and say Craig will win

We're doing our own version of Shattered here - I have a cold and so does my daughter (who's just turned 1). So she doesn't sleep very well at night at the moment - so neither do I!! So I know how they feel.

I'm really enjoying this its got me hooked I wonder if they are planning a celebrity version of this?
they seem to be giving them more tasks to do in seven days than there was in all of bb4.
and Kaphc I know how you feel I think it would have been a close game if all of them had been parents of sleepless children:sleep::sleep::sleep::sleep:although the temptation to make the most of the break might have been too hard to resist and they may have fallen asleep first:sleep:

I wish they had chosen a different presenter for 'Absolutely Shattered' as I can't stand Edith Bowman, she gets on my nerves so much.

I love that quiz they did where they had to answer the questions with the answer to the previous question (I didnt explain that very well did I?!).

It would make a great drinking game! Every time you answer a question wrong U do a shot! I'll have to introduce that one when I get back to uni!

Craig reminds me of someone and I cant think who, any ideas anyone

I think whoever wins will deserve the money. Though as Kaph has said anyone with a sleepless child could saunter through this. If you can survive the first months of a child's life you can survive anything. LOL

oops there goes the Kiss of Death for Craig
I wont say who is going to win now lol
and PPP i liked that game also

I thought Craig looked a bit like Brian Dowling? Not sure. :conf:

Chris looks like Tony Adams.

Yes I very much agree, it's not like Big Brother where you can like or dislike certain people because 1. they can't act naturally when they are so tired and 2.they're all in it to win it - as it should be.

I've seen comments elsewhere where people have said they don't like, say, Chris or Dean or Claire because they heard them say that they are going to win.

Really enjoying this show btw.

Nice to have seen Dermot loads on my Tv screen

Shame Craig went, they were having shattered TV gatherings where he lived! He went to The Salon the other day but is now back at home with the folks.

Who do you all want to win? I'm not sure, I'm probably going to go with Claire!

I'm really looking forward to the final of this tonight. It's been a good programme - I couldn't have done it!!

Claire looks to be suffering a bit today. Chris and Jonathan are really having to keep her level headed and calm.

Good luck to all of them as they approach the final.

(Dermot - looking good! :spin2:)

Oops, I thought the show was on at 10..

I caught the last bit and saw Claire win. What was the final task? All I saw was them all in the dark for a few seconds.

The final task was the last person to fall asleep won! Claire lasted 2 hours and the two guys more or less fell asleep at the same time
