Leona Lewis single is year's biggest sellerLONDON (Reuters) - "Bleeding Love" by "X Factor" winner Leona Lewis clung to the top spot in the charts for the third week, becoming the year's biggest-selling song, the Official Charts Company said on Sunday.

The 22-year-old's single chalked up total sales of 490,000.

Two weeks ago, Lewis smashed the 2007 record for the most singles sold in a first week of release, with sales of 218,000.

Reformed boy band Take That remained at number two with "Rule The World", while Timbaland moved up one, from four to three, with "Apologize".

Mark Ronson, featuring Amy Winehouse, also gained one place, from five to four, with "Valerie".

Westlife's "Home" dropped from three to five.

There was no change at six with female trio Sugababes holding on with "About You Now", and R&B singer Craig David was one of the biggest climbers with "Hot Stuff (Let's Dance)", moving up from 19 to seven.

Troubled singer Britney Spears was at number eight with "Gimme More", down one from seven.

American soul star Alicia Keys jumped from 26 to nine with "No One".

Freemasons, featuring Bailey Tzuke, slipped from eight to 10 with "Uninvited".

Otherwise it was a week of comebacks. Kylie Minogue, who took 10 months off to focus on her treatment and recovery from cancer, saw her new single "2 Hearts" enter the charts at 12.

More than half a century after his first chart success, Elvis Presley went straight in at number 13 with the re-release of "In The Ghetto", a hit first time around in the 1960s.

The reformed Spice Girls went in at number 20 with "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)".

Westlife were back on familiar turf with their album "Back Home", which shot to the top album charts, knocking off the Eagles' "Long Road Out Of Eden".

It was Westlife's seventh British number one album.

Soul diva Whitney Houston moved up two places from five to three with her album "Ultimate Collection", while the "Greatest Hits" compilation by British pop rockers McFly entered the chart at number four.
