HEARTBROKEN ANDY LOVES HANDS-ON DANNIITEARFUL Andy Williams spoke today of his heartbreak at being kicked off the X Factor last night.

Andy, 22, an asbestos removal company boss from Newport, South Wales, was voted into the bottom two with school teacher Beverley Trotman after his performance of Snow Patrol’s Chasing Cars left the judges feeling dry.

Andy, who was the first of Dannii Minogue’s acts to get the chop, said he was “gutted” that he never got judge Simon Cowell’s approval and revealed: “I’ve always watched the show and was a fan of the show.

“It’s quite heartbreaking for me because I’ve always really respected what he says.

“It’s horrible when you’re on the end of it because he never connects with you, he never understands you.

“It’s gutting, really devastating, horrible knowing that I never got his [Simon] real approval.”

The Welshman had auditioned for the show when he was 19, but got turned down.

Following jibes from fellow judges Simon and Louis Walsh that Dannii was out of her depth, he leaped to the stunner’s defence and said: “To be honest, I think she’s done amazing with her three acts.

“She’s very hands on and personal, always going over song choices, she really puts in a lot of effort into it, a lot more than any of the others. She’s done amazing.

“But again, I liked the song, she liked the song. I’m just trying to keep my chin up and crack on, really.”

As the News of the World reported today, blonde student Hope-ful Emily Biggs, 17, and Scot shop worker Leon Jackson, 18, have hit it off in the house with a string of trips to the toilet.

Andy shedded some light on the two and said: “There’s a lot of hugging between the them.

“I suppose they are close. They are quite close definitely. They do speak a lot.”

The plucky Welshman has now vowed to keep his “chin up” and get on with things.

With tears welling up in his eyes, he said: “Being on that stage was amazing. It was sad saying goodbye.

“I was with Leon and I just touched it [the stage] for the last time, put my hand on it.

“I hope the public saw enough of me. It would have been nice if I could have been a bit more myself, a bit more relaxed, a bit more like Leon.

“It goes so quickly. Last night was absolutely amazing and meeting so many amazing people, including the workers and the backroom staff.”

I hope he's not surprised of his eviction because he deserved it. At this stage of the competition, having a performance like that is a shame.
