Ziggy switching on Christmas lights...
Big Brother's Christmas star
- 12 November 2007
BIG Brother star Ziggy Lichman will be in town this week to switch on Barkingside's Christmas lights.
The event, which was organised by the Barkingside Business Partnership to raise funds for Haven House children's hospice in Woodford Green, will also boast a visit from Father Christmas himself in a horse-drawn carriage, which will drive up and down the High Street.
Santa's elves will also make an appearance, along with pantomime characters, carol singers, snowmen, jugglers and clowns.
The party will be accompanied by fundraisers who will hand out glow sticks in return for donations for Haven House.
A band called The Hillbilly Express will play outside the library for the crowd until MP Lee Scott introduces Ziggy, who will do the honours and turn on the lights.
The event begins at 4pm, on Friday in Barkingside High Street.
