Chanelle blasted by 'Wannabe' hopefuls

Hopefuls who auditioned for Chanelle Hayes' new TV project Wannabe have claimed that she does not deserve to be on the judging panel.
The Big Brother 8 star has been helping to form a new over-25s girlband for the show, which airs on music channel VH1.
However, Chanelle's presence on the judging panel has been criticised by some potential contestants. Producers also faced embarrassment when only 18 people turned up for the Leeds auditions.
"I don't think Chanelle is really old or experienced enough to be judging such a competition," Sarah Jayne March, 31, explained. "She might be good from a fashion point of view but what does she know about music and what voices would sound good together in a band?"
Another contestant, who did not want to be named due to fear of ruining her chances, told the Daily Star Sunday: "I don't really know who she thinks she is. I don't see what qualifications she has to be a music judge. What gives her the right to tell us that we can't even sing? She isn't even a real celebrity. Being the obsessive one on Big Brother was not something to be proud of."
