The great winter freeze, the worst for 10 years, that we have all been waiting for since last week!!!

Looks like it is creeping down. This was taken out of my windowa few minutes ago.

Your so lucky!

I have no snow!

I want snow!

Its certainly cold enough for snow, not good when you have an attic room! I dont like having to put up with being this freeeeeezing and not getting any snow!

We always seem to miss out on the snow in this neck of the woods. The rest of the country can be snowed under, but not us. I love the snow so am still keeping my fingers crossed.

(Still got everything crossed for you Lee as well)

We've had no snow here as of yet, but just before it went dark the sky went that funny colour that 'looks like snow' as my mother used to say, so I reckon I stand a pretty good chance of waking up tomorrow to a world of white.

It's now snowing

I think I'm glad my move has been put back to next week - it should have been tomorrow and would have been interesting in all the snow:shocked: Lets hope its cleared by next week

We had snow overnight, and then just as it was about to melt, we had a snowstorm for 2 hours in the afternoon - during which time I elected to go and do a food shop, and buy my required number of tins of soup.

10 minutes after I got back from the supermarket, it stopped snowing. C'est la vie!!

Glad to hear there is snow in Surrey LEE!

Well i left work at 5pm got on the bus 5 mins later we had rain, then lightning and lots and lots of snow my usual 15 min journey took 45 mins
Nice to see some snow though even though it's really, really cold!

Plenty of white stuff up here!

Not a great deal lying, probably only 2-3 inches, but it's causing havoc when the wind gets up and causes blizzard conditions.

Had a flurry around teatime, but no more so far . . . . . . . . . . . it is VERY cold, though!

I don't know about the rest of the country but we still have a bit of snow but it is melting rapidly due to blazing sun, only wish the sun was making it feel really warm!

There's quite a bit left here but it is starting to melt. Loads of it fell very noisily off my roof about an hour ago and I wondered what on earth it was, I thouht something serious had happened.

I've never seen snow with thunder and lightening before either. Very weird. :conf:

It snowed a bit here yesterday but it didn't last too long. I live quite near the sea and it hardly ever snows here.

Although I can look across to Arran and see snow-covered mountains most cold days in the winter.

It started snowin like mad wednesday evening so we had a huge snowball fight down my road (only students live down my road, about 150 of us!) and then I made a snowman!

Somw horrible boys next door chopped my snomans head off, stuck it on top of the washing line and put a knife in his head, but his bodys still there and the snow hasnt budged since wednesday, I havent been in 2 uni coz the whole road a pavement is covered in thick ice! I got all ready 2 leave, stepped out the door and nearly died so I went straight back in!

Try the Atkins diet Amy. Not only do you get NO wind at all, you become so constipated, industrial strength laxatives are required to resolve the problem!

To go back to the original topic of this thread - I am at the moment sitting at my desk gazing out of the window at a very grey sky from which large snow flakes are falling and the cars and green space outside are a very satisfying white.

Oh well back to the day's toil -

I love snowy pictures!!!!!

Was watching next door's six month old puppy earlier. He didnt know what to make of the snow. Ended up doing a belly flop and getting covered, then stood up shook himself and walked off with his nose in the air as if it was the most normal thing on earth.
