Anyone can help me out on this, I'm upset that I feel depressed at a young age, is there anything that could take those constant headaches away.

Constant headaches, eh... hmm. Are you under a lot of stress at the moment?

Dont know, I guess so, I keep on having awful headaches quite often, dont know why.
Go to your doctor, he should be able to prescribe something to help.

Have a bath that might help if you have no tablets.
Lie down maybe, or go to Doctors would be safe option.
Or maybe you're coming down with a flu or something.

Samaritans is available to anyone in the UK and Ireland. If you live outside of the UK and Ireland, visit www.befrienders.org to find your nearest helpline.

This one is out of left field, but also see the dentist.
Sometimes a dental problem can manifest itself in a headache.
Failing that see if you can get a CAT scan, just to make sure there are no tumours or someone has not shot you in the head. (it has happened that someone was carrying round a bullet in their head)
Or try Beecham;s powders.
The depression is probably a side effect, plus it is winter, so try and get a sodium lamp to sit in front of for a few hours each night (S A D ?)

like Sticks said it could be dental. Even if you think your teeth are fine. I used to get headaches and it turned out to be my wisdom teeth that had not descended.

I second that! I have second that. I have suffered with my wisdom teeth for the last 3 years and they can cause so much pain and that can often result in a headache

hey farhad,I suffer from depression myself and headaches are a common symptom of depression.
I know this wont help right now and you may not see it ever happen but believe me one day you wont feel like this anymore, and im not talking in a matter of years, maybe it will be less than a matter of months but all I can say is one day your going to be feeling great about yourself and your life and for that reason you can never give up hope.
Going to see your doctor is an option but at such a young age they will prefer you to get your self out of the depression so to speak, without the aid of anti depressents as they often have terrible side effects and some people become addicted quite easily. You may hear about some docs handing out anti depressents willy nilly but i honestly dont think thats the case.My personal experience with depression got to quite a serious stage before i was finally pescribed prozac. However I must admit talking can do wonders, some times you just need to get everything off your chest. You seem like your reaching out for someone to talk to and if you were to arrange through your doctor to see a councillor then it may help you significantly more than just posting your problems on tibb as the help us members can give you is obviously limited.
If you ever want a personal chat feel free to contact me,I understand and I sympathise and I promise you things WILL get better.

I would still go for a dental check up and mention the headaches, just to be on the safe side.
Always try and avoid anti-depressants, as they are addictive.

Just to clear something up Farhad...
Are you depressed because of your constant headaches? like some people have said.
Or are you depressed AND suffering from headaches?
Just curious.
Id offer advice but it seems that's already been well taken care of =] so I hope you're ok at least.

Farhad, do you wake up with the headache or does it come on during the day? Does it stay until you sleep? Or does sleep not help?
Do you see flashing lights or are your eyes sensitive to light?

You're going through a difficult time, so it's common to feel depressed. For your headaches, a good thing would be to get plenty of rest - perhaps you feel stressed, in which case resting would be your best bet. It's easy to get carried away, feel pushed for time etc., but the fact is you can't jeopardise your own health and sanity as a result. If your headaches are extremely bad, however, seeing a doctor would be the best idea.
You could talk to someone you feel close to to try and lift a weight off your chest, or if you feel uncomfortable doing so, even writing it down helps. I hope you feel better soon though - I would try to bear in mind that a lot of people do go through the same thing.

It depends which one, the newer ones, SSR's, can cause some major side effects in the first few weeks but after that you shouldnt get many problems with them. The older anti depressants dont have that many side effects but doctors only prescribe them if you have been on ssr's and experienced problems.

I guess you are talking about migraines because I have so many, well when I have them I take pills and I can't stand light and I want to hit my head on the wall. That's terrible.

Try and do things that cheer you up, keep yourself occupied so you don't have times to dwell on being depressed,
it's what i had to do after my dad died but it really works, i got some pets to get responsibility of and stuff

It sounds like the headaches are the problem and the depression is a side effect.
Visit the dentist, to check that out, as Red Moon and KizWiz confirmed, dental issues can cause headaches. Then also see a physician.
Meanwhile if you can take it, try Beecham's powders as a soluble medicine it enters the system quicker.

But before we go after complex psychological reasons, apply Occam's Rasor and look into clinical causes first. Make sure that any possible physical cause has been addressed.
As I said, see a dentist and a doctor.

I'm not a child.
If they are migraines then some medication that I've found to be very helpful and effective are migraleve tablets.I was suffering badly with Migraines and none of the normal paracetamol were working so I went to the doctor and was prescribed these migraleve tablets and they always managed to work, you start off by taking one of the pink ones and if they migraine is still there a couple of hours later you can take one of the yellow ones.
You can buy them from most chemists but you doctor may well give you a prescription for a box of about 12.I always have a box just in case a migraine comes on, usually the pink tablet will get rid of it fairly quickly.

Thanks, sounds it helps, how much does is cost, do you first have to be prescribed by your doctors or you could buy them without prescription.

You can buy them without prescription.I normally get mine from Boots or Tesco, most chemists stock them. They are about £3.50 for a packet of 12.

not always and its more likely that headaches are a side effect of depression not the other way round.Im no doctor but its obvious that farhad is going through some troubles atm and its quite possible that he is depressed,he even said so himself
