Oh, the poor thing. Looks so... odd, to say the least.
It's horrible when any creature has to suffer, so I do feel for the cat if that's the case.

People instinctively pity the cat because it's different...
Yet who's to say it's having any problems?
Just because it doesn't look like all the other cats out there, doesn't mean its quality of life is affected.
It only knows what life is like living with two faces, so it's completely used to it, and probably quite comfortable.
The only possible problems I can see are if the other face/brain/cat if you will, is moving the body around whilst the other is asleep, and constantly waking it up.
But they're most likely tired at the same time anyway, since they're using the same body.
And I didn't see any information about its condition causing any illness? And it's apparently thriving and going to live to an old age...so if you look at it in detail, perhaps it doesn't need any sympathy.
No offense, but I think people look at the cat and think "that's quite weird/freakish/ugly" then decide to be "good people" and feel sorry for the cat because deep down they know they're pitying it for the way it looks.
Because the cat is actually fine.
