FURIOUS Simon Cowell read the riot act to girlband Hope after they staged a “brat attack” behind the scenes.
The feisty girls demanded to pick their own song and choose their own outfits for Saturday’s show.
Simon, 48, backed down but warned the girls they had taken their fate in their own hands.
And the sexy five-piece – whose members include Phoebe Brown, 16, and 20-year-old Raquelle Gracie, pictured right – failed to impress.
More than 11million tuned in to see the group go head-to-head with Beverley Trotman, 37, who was sent home.
A show insider said: “Simon was angry with the girls.
“They basically said they know more about the business than he does.
“They’ve all got a bit too big for their boots and Simon was determined to rein them in.”
Meanwhile, school teacher Beverley is taking a year off work to pursue her dream.
She said: “Everyone can take a sabbatical and this is mine.”
