I'm doing my french baccalaureate this year. I was doing my french GCSEs 3 years ago.

Ive started mine :) Had a Science Biology 1A and Chemistry 1A in November. Had an ICA exam today. Woop go Year 10s :) :P

I took Spanish, Geography and Dt Food

We have to take: English, Science, Maths, IT, Re, German and Pe (fitness not GCSE)

We did have a really good one, but now...

We have this really old woman, and she always batts her eyelids, and she always forgets what she is saying! And she nearly trips over, when walking near the tables!

I am
I'm in year 11.

I took French, ICT, Drama, &Music.
I took a fast track Music course, so I've already done it.

My mocks are this week =]
I only have four [maths, french, english &science].
&&The first two I've done have been easy.
Haha.

I'm predicted A* in Drama&English, B in French, &A in the others.
I'm happy though.
ICT = equal to 2 GCSEs.
So in total, I'll have 10 GCSEs [Eng Lit&Lang, Maths, Science x2, ICT x2, French, Drama, Music]
THOUGH. I regret taking ICT.
I wish I'd taken dance&art.

I'm taking my real ones next year in may and June, I've been taking mocks all this week, i had maths today, i have RE tomorrow, then on Friday i have Child Development which is easy for me, i did a year 10 test in it and got a C for it.
It's a stressful time.

Dunt think so. I do Double Science and English Lit and English.

The only grade offically ive had is from one piece of English Coursework which i got an A in :). So hope ill get an A in english and hopefully most other things.

Oh, the days of GCSEs. Are most of you lot wanting to leave school after, or will you stay for college/6th form?
I keep wishing I didn't stay on for college, but then this is my last year so after that it'll be over. :spin2:

My school doesn't have a sixth form.
I'm gonna go to college, and do a BTec National Diploma in Level 3 Performing Arts. xD
It's equivalent to like.. 3 A Levels, so I'm happy. haha.

I had a science mock today and I didn't understand anything on the one paper.

I took leisure and tourism, French and History along with the subjects which are compulsory. I hate french I really don't understand it, i'm currently on a D and i'm supposed to be getting a B.

Good luck with your mocks then, GCSEers! I was way more scared about my mocks than the actual exams, which amused me slightly. It was because the second time round I was more familiar with the system, so didn't bother much. For some of my real exams, I got lower than I did in the mocks.

To be honest it all depends on so many factors: which bits you understand best/are most comfortable with and what comes up on the exam, how you're feeling, your surroundings, etc. I managed to do really well in my mocks though... I'm not normally very comfortable with exams but I got 1 A*, 3 As and 5 Bs which I thought was pretty good.

Don't be nervous. Once they're over, you'll realise they hold little value as far as the wider scale is concerned. However, you'd need to get at least 5 Cs to go to a decent college, if you want to pursue education... I'm sure if you work towards it you can achieve that, if not better.

I don't know if I'd have liked to do Art/Photography for GCSE, just because I think of them as hobbies and wouldn't have wanted them ruined by doing them as subjects. It's a matter of choice though!

Thinking back, I would've liked to have done P.E. and Drama - they sound great! I basically took a pretty minimal amount of subjects because I didn't really want much, and they were silly subjects too such as Geography.

Its in the old GCSE results thread and i cant find it and cant remeber all my resuls but i got everything from a D to a U.

Ok what i got was

Art-D
Double Science-EE

Maths-G

French-I was in the lowest class so dident do a GCSE exam for it.
Food-Got chucked out of that class, stupid teacher :sad:

So i am missing 2 GCSE's really a waste of two years in them lessons.
