Sore Toe ????

Hello everybody, ok well i need some help this year in january which is almost a year now my toe became really sore and it keeps getting worse then better. It has like a lump on the side my mum and friends say its a ingrowing toe nail but i dont see how that could make a lump.Im to scared also to go to a doctor :sad:

Has anyone else had a ingrowing toe nail if so can you tell me what it was like to see if mine is similar ????

It keeps bleding and puss keeps weeping out any help ????

Go to the doctors, they will give you some cream for it and tell you how to treat it.

Yes, it's an ingrown toenail, which is basically when the toenail grows sideways (I think). I have one and it's very painful :(

My toe is quite lumpy and mine has been known to bleed.

Haha please no pics do you think they will jsut give cream i dont want them having to take my toe nail off i couldent take that. My mum said its cause of the way i cut it i use to always cut it downwards at the end.

yes its an ingrown toe nail.Ive had one before-sooo painful!dont worry,but go to the doctors now as my bf ended up having an operation becuase he had an ingrown toenail that got so bad it required an operation.Me however,I just needed some antibiotics then I was fine.I dotn know why they gave me antibiotics but anyhow.They worked

O god i dont want a operation its been like this for almost a year now what if its gotton so bad i need my toe cut off, nevermind my toe nail :shocked:

well you prob wont.Its not like he was complaining about his for a year he just went to the docs after a few weeks of pain and they said he needed an op.God knows why and It was over in like an hour,he diddnt have to stay in or anything,he just had to wear a flip flop for a bit instead of a shoe lol.
Bless him,but it did look funny though.
Dont worry about it just go and see your doc,better to do it sooner rather than later

Eurgh, i just watched a video on youtube on someone getting there ingrowing toe nail off. I cant go through that, all the blood :bawling:

You may not need anything as drastic as an operation, they sometimes send you to a podiatrist who can work on the nail without the need to remove it. It will just get worse if you dont get it seen to which is when they really will need to take the nail off!

Yeah im so stupid for not going in the first place, before it started bleeding and pussing. I must go and get it sorted, like when i wear socks they the material gets stuck in the sore. Which aint nice at all.

Eurgh jabs hate that. Its just i watched a video on youtube of someone getting the toe nail off. They had a ingrowing toenail. I think i have left it to long now. If you could see it you would understand :sad:

I understand why you dont want to go,I just dont know how you`ve been able to put up with the pain for so long,mine was soooo painful especially when i walked i couldnt have put up wioth it any longer than i did

I really think you should go. It will get worse the longer you hold off. :conf2: If you make a big fuss you'll never go, but take a deep breathe and get it checked out. You should be fine.

I know i really should go. Well supernoodles Its wired somedays it dosent hurt at all then other days it can be really painful. If i bash it of something like if i kicked a ball with my foot it would pour with blood, but it wont bleed for that long. See i use to keep saying its cancer haah cause i have a lump on my foot, but no one believed me. Thats why i have been to scared to go doctors aswell cause of the lump you know.

Dont worry, even I'd be 100% sure you cant get cancer on your toe! But if it was cancerous you would have known long ago.

Yeah it would have affected me by now im sure if it was cancerous i just always think the worse. See when i was 2 my mum had two brain hemroges cause she got her head punched. Now i always get abit worried when i hit my head you know.

thats understandable.It wont be cancer though,if you go now it could mean the difference between having to have a n operation and not having an operation.

Go to the doctors trust me

I had one last year for so long went to the doctors and they gave me some antibiotics. They didn't work so I went back got another set. This continued for a long time and finally I had to get an operation

Which was literally over in 10-20 minutes all the chiropodist did was make my toe numb and then do whatever he had to do (my doctor made it sound as if they were going to cut of most the toes nail but it was only a 1/4)

Also don't just wear socks wear a plaster it gets annoying having to get a new one every day but trust me it's better then living as normal as it might get infected etc.
