Sorry if this comes across a bit like a 14-year-old boy, but RHYDIAN’S A VIRGIN! RHYDIAN’S A VIRGIN! The X Factor favourite has revealed that he doesn’t believe in sex before marriage. There’s been lots of speculation over his sexuality since appearing on the talent show, but the 24-year-old finally put rumours to rest by saying, “If people are assuming that I am gay, or whatever, that is fine. They don’t know me and I dress quite camp. But I can say categorically that I am 100 per cent straight.” However, the Christian singer admits that his religious beliefs mean that he won’t be having sex until after marriage. “I have been offered sex, like most men,” says Rhyd, “but if you believe in something, you can’t compromise. But I am only human and you can fall short. At the moment my priority is singing.” Very commendable, Rhyd, but just remember Britney once said the same thing and look at her now… eek.

So I hate to say it, but I think it's just wishful thinking if the girls here think he's doing it to be sweet/respectable to women.

That's the problem when you're in the public eye: discussions become increasingly personal. Quite a few people would not want the entire nation to know such details, yet this fact about Rhydian has become exposed. I hope he manages to stick to it if he wishes and not fall prey to the media, which can change your intentions - it's happened to celebrities in the past, and there's no reason why it can't happen again.
