"Radio 1 has debuted Britney’s new single Piece Of Me to a ground-breaking reception. The UK’s leading radio station premiered the track on Thursday evening and just 24 hours later the song, Brit’s 19th UK single, had received over 2000 requests from listeners.


As a result, the song has shot straight up the UK radio airplay chart, debuting at #4 with 270 spins in just 2 days; a record only beaten by Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love” and Rihanna’s “Umbrella”, which both have an impressive 400 spins within 48 hours.


Meanwhile on the chart, some of Britney’s other work is also climbing up due to the popularity of Piece Of Me. Her last single, Gimme More, has climbed ten places to #16 with 110 spins and her classic 2004 track Toxic has also made an appearance, creeping onto the chart at #57 with 21 spins.

Great news. "Piece of Me" is my favourite Britney song from her new album. Hopefully it will be number 1.

It is just awful, I think. So annoying. We hear enough about the awful woman without having to her talk about herself.

i hope its a good video like my perogative,everytime or toxic because IMO gimme more was a dissapointment,usualy Britney has some very very good videos

I didn't like the album overall but that was one of the songs I did like, it's even better than Gimme More IMO.

I love 'Piece Of Me', I think it should deffo get to No.1 when its released xx
