X Factor Polls and "The X Factor results are in"

I was looking trough the Sun for the site and came across a poll - Link to Poll (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/x_factor/article558004.ece)

Currently the results of the poll are:

Rhydian 48%
Same Difference 31%
Leon 21%

What are other polls on the web saying, anyone found any results?

There's not as much in it as I thought, at all. I always realised Same Difference was popular but probably didn't realise how much. Youngsters as well as anyone who finds them cute and appealing seem to be behind them 100% despite everything, so they have a really strong fanbase! That's an interesting poll result nevertheless - I'd be interested to see others so I can form an overall view based on them.

At first, I did think Rhydian probably had it in the bag but it's a little more unpredictable than I thought, primarily because we cannot be confidently sure who's picking up votes from whom, as well as how many. I suppose it makes things a little bit more interesting.

Just checked the Sun poll to see how it is changing as the day goes on. Currently these are the results:

Rhydian 46%
Same Difference 32%
Leon 22%

Rhydian has lost two points to the other artists.

Online polls can not always be trusted though, you just have to look at I'm A Celeb and past BB's to realise that. Not everyone who votes on online polls actually bother to pick up their phone and vote. Plus there are plenty of people who probably don't even know the poll exists.

We have to take into consideration that most of the Same Difference fans who are around the age of 10 will not be voting on the internet polls, so I think Same Difference could be closer to Rhydian then we think.

Spike has got a point my sister is 9 and she likes same difference and so do most of her class but she dont know any polls exist but my mum lets her vote evey saturday so it could be alot closer.

Not quite true, if you check their fan pages on Myspace and Bebo etc, lots of their fans are early teens from 14-16. I'm sure they have a lot younger fan base too, but the majority seem to be early teens.

Well probably not many of these early teens and the younger fan base go to the sun website and vote on the X Factor poll, so the gap between Rhydian and Same Diference is probably a lot closer than everyone thinks.

It's harder to call, because polls like this could be more realistic than the odds, we don't know. Keep in mind that the bookies have had Same Difference favourite to go in the first week, and they've really underestimated their support.

I would vote for them just to see the Simon Cowells smile wiped off his smug face. He really wants Rhydian to win even though Same Difference are his band. He has an interest in getting opera into pop music which I feel is a bad bad move.

I hope they win, they deserve it. They dont deserve it at all; they're rubbish, but it would be funny if they did win. Sean is OK but better singers than Sarah were rejected at the audition phase. In theory you can only vote once in the poll since the page leaves a cookie on your machine which detects if you vote again, however it is possible to vote again by clearing the cookie or using a different machine or another browser if you have more than one on your computer.

If you think about it multiple voting shouldn't be a problem on a poll on a show like X-Factor were you can make multiple votes, however you could in vote hundreds of times on the Sun poll (assuming you get rid of the cookie) which isn't something you can afford to with when voting on the X-Factor since the phone bill starts to grow.

The X Factor results are inSAME DIFFERENCE and Rhydian have been neck and neck throughout our just for fun poll - and Leon's lagging behind.

However, the brother and sister duo have pipped the bleached-blonde to the post by a measly one per cent.

Sean and Sarah scored 39 per cent, while the Welsh warbler only secured 38 per cent of Sun readers votes.

Little Leon tagged along with just 24 per cent, but could the Scottish lad surprise everyone in the final?
