Some have cynically claimed that Sarah may have influenced the viewers by turning on the water works . What do you think?

Nah, I think it was genuine. (apparently that song (Never Had A Dream Come True) got her through her bullying)

I put no -
Some people don't understand what being bullied is like - and that song obviously remeinded how she used 2 feel ..

I think some people would have given them a few votes because they felt sorry for Sarah, but so what? That poor girl, how could anyone bully such a lovely, sweet good looking girl?

All I can think of is they must have been jealous of her, stupid chavs.

I thought it was genuine, it is a sob story but she hasn't *****d it through the entire show like other contestants have done with their sob stories, and bullying can still get to people after a long time.

Or maybe I have been brainwashed and sucked in by the cunning tale, who knows?

It's not a sympathy contest. It's horrible that she was bullied and I'm not condoning it for one moment but you've got to look past these things and vote on talent.

I agree Dan_. It's a talent contest.

I did'nt feel sorry for her at all when she was crying. I note she wasn't crying while she was singing. She turned on the water works just as Louis was being mean to her.

I know it isn't, but at the end of the day, she has to show the bullies what she is doing now, she was showing them that she has talent and that. Some people out there probably did vote for them because of that, but as I said it doesn't matter, it's up to people out there who and why they vote for someone.

I don't think it was fake, but i don't think it was exactly genuine. Surely she could've waited a few more seconds to cry offstage. She managed fine throughout the song.

I think it was genuine. It brought home how far she has come and how her brother has helped her through the hard times. Of course it influenced the votes a bit, but I think that's a good thing as they deserve it imo. But on the other hand, it could have influenced the votes against them because people felt she was not being genuine. I felt so sorry for her and I would love to get whoever bullied her. =D

Oh wait, I thought you meant in her VT. I thought that was genuine. I don't know why she was crying right after the performance though. I guess she was just overwhelmed?

No, she lost it during the last part of the final chorus...you could tell by the way her chin was going wobbly.

I don't see her as being the type of person who would cry for a publicity stunt. I think it was genuine. It probably helped get them a few more votes, though.

Get the violins out. They had kids on stage last week too. It's all a ploy imo.
