I really dislike vein people lol.
My view is that vanity leads to a persons demise.

I think vanity is combined with arrogance; confidence is something different.

If I look in reflective surfaces whenever I pass by them, friends call me vain, but I personally think that's far from true. Checking to make sure you look OK is different from admiring your own beauty - if anything, it means you're more insecure than vain.

I rarely wear lots of make-up (can't figure it all out for a start), but wearing it doesn't make you vain at all, IMO. It's all about the attitude.

I dotn really understand the deifnition of vain becuase I do wear make up,even on days when im not leaving the house,i do fix my hair and keep myslef tanned, wearing the nicest clothes i can affored etc.I have got alot of beauty products and I am quite image conscious i suppose.I do spend a good bit of time getting ready for nights out but I wouldnt say Im vein,i dont think life depends on looks and im not obsessed,i dont have bags of confidence either so therefore i wouldnt consider myself to be vain but maybe others would disagree idk

If you're vain in a confident way I don't think that's something that should be looked down upon. As Ash said, if you're vain because you admire yourself, it's different. I'm vain in a confident way, it's not a sin. :p (Lmao, OK, that came out wrong.)

I do agree with you, I'm confident, I like the way I am and I'm attracted by money but it's not a crime after all. Then I'm vain in a confident way too.

I'm not vain in the 'i think i'm hot oh baby' sense.

but I'm vain in the.. 'i like to look nice' sense?

like.
i won't leave the house unless my hair looks decent, my clothes look okay, i've got eyeliner on etc?

to me when you see say an overweight woman with messy hair,no make up and plain, oldish clothes even if they are some successful buisness woman with a middle class background then to me i would still look at them and think-slob.
