In order to those questions, my answers are...

Mess around, tell everyone I love them, dance, drink more
Haven't ever seen my family drunk. Friends do the same as me.
VERY. I've passed out once on the beach, and woke up in my own bed. I have no idea how I got there.
Yeah, quite a few.

It depends how im feeling to start of with it can go a number of ways when in drunk.
1.I get extremely happy and just have a good time and dance like a loon and have a laugh
2.I cry and talk about the old times lol
3.I get pissed off and argue with people and get VERY touchy
4.I cant remember anything!so therefore on these occasions i dont know how i act lol.
All ym friends act differently when there drunk most of them are pretty annoying though when drunk. One of them throws herself at any fella she can find even if there married, one of em looses her shoes lol (funny night) i have some lad mates who just go really hyper and happy ,ya know the usual mood people get in when there drunk. Then I have some other mates who will occasioanlly get violent and pick fights but most of em just go in a jolly mood and show themself up on the dance floor a bit lol.
I have got pics of me drunk,a very very vey bad one that im ashamed of on my friends myspace!I have some of me drunk on my myspace but there not that bad.

Uni students and beer  I can guess what they do but little people are around so I won't say so :bouncy::bigsmile:

I don't think you've lived until you've been drunk, and I don't mean to sound offensive but if you have never been drunk by age 16 then you probably have no life :spin2:

Drinking is great but it's seriously dangerous too. I got myself into a horrible state on Saturday [had an amazing night but that's besides the point] and anything could have happened to me because I was so bad and it's put me off getting "that" drunk. I've been drunk so many times but always been in control of myself but I weren't on Sat and it's scary to think about it.

If I'd have gotten into that state at a house party then I wouldn't mind because I'd have a couch to pass out on but out in town you have to roam the streets for taxi's. I didn't give a crap on the night but thinking back is when I realised how dangerous it actually is.

^^ that's the thing that annoys me ... alcohol gets you into some horrid states and it is legal but weed couldn't get you into a state half as bad as that and yet it's illegal. Tres stupid.

I don't drink.
I hate not being in control of myself, and although I'll drink a TINY amount, I can't drink too much since I get drunk VERY fast.
So yeaah.
I don't drink.
I wouldn't trust myself =/

but i think it's good personally.
idc.
most of my mates go out drinking like. every week &it's like 'ew. what are you doing to yourselves'.

To be fair ... not everyone needs alcohol to have a good night and that says a lot about somebody. If by 15/16 then you've never been tempted to get drunk, try weed, smoke etc then that says a lot more about them and doesn't mean they've no life at all, it's a good thing.

That last bit you said is pathetic tbh. Maybe some people don't drink because they dont want to, or theyve seen what it does to other people in negative ways and dont want to end up like that, as I know I have, and No it doesn't mean you dont have a life, it just means that you don't want to end up in a state that you dont know where you are, who your etc, you dont need to have alcohol to be fun, and have a life!

Xander
13-12-2007, 10:26 PM
I dont drink because i dont want to, just because i dont drink the stuff doesn't mean i dont have a life because there are plenty of other ways to have fun rather than alcohol
I hate what it does to people and how something like that can change people. I don't want it doing damage to my body or anything like that and i hate it also how people regard themselves as cool because they find that getting drunk is.

I did say I don't mean to sound offensive ... its only my view.

I don't think people think they are "cool" for getting drunk. At parties and when I go out, its very rare to come across someone who isn't drinking. Its something social to do and shows you can just let go if you drink when you are enjoying yourself. If your answer to that is "I don't go to parties" or "I don't go out" then I bring back my other point. Only people end up damaged when they are alcoholics, they don't know when to stop and if they are already depressed. Otherwise, if you drink moderately and have plenty of water, then coke does more damage to you.

I no it was your view i dont have a problem with that. When i do go to parties (which is most of time) and when theres alcohol i just have something else, no one else has a problem with it.
When i said they regard themselves as cool i meant, i have known some people who do it for attention.
At the end of the day, i hate it (i.m.o)

"i did say I dont mean to sound offensice" annd?

Its like saying, no offence, but you look horrible, its still completely offencive.

And also, alcoholics arent the only ones to get damaged up, as I had a friend who was killed because she had been drinking!

Whe i said when they regard themselves as cool i meant, i have known some people who do it for attention.

Attention seeking drinkers annoy me. I just prefer to be a social drinker but there have been times when I have completely gone off it but not craving attention.

When I usually hear "I don't drink", a lot of the time it means to be "I have no life" and I don't know why it does that, but as long as you are getting out and not drinking at parties (which is pretty hard to do ) then that is good and I respect you for not following everyone else.

"Otherwise, if you drink moderately and have plenty of water, then coke does more damage to you."

In the long run alcohol does more damage than coke, yer coke is bad for you but you can drink as much as you want of it (within reason) and not get drunk :spin2: you might be burping a lot tho:tongue:

Tom

But if you drink a pint of water for every pint of alcohol (which I do) then it dilutes all the toxins into hardly anything and does no damage to your liver. If you don't do that then it does have consequences later in life, but not always. One of my nana's friends was a heavy drinker and when she died, she gave her liver away. There was nothing wrong with it and it was damaged in no way.

Legend i know what you mean about not being bothered at the time but then waking up the next day realising how much of a dangerous situation you put yourself in.I was single for about 3 months earlier this year and all i did was party, every single weekend but the mates i used to go out with lived in a differenct area to me so i had to get a taxi home on my own and you know yourself what its like getting a taxi on a friday or saturday night at kicking out time.
I would just find myself talking to random strangers and once i even fell asleep in a taxi,i mean thats just asking for trouble isnt it.Im not proud of it and it still scares me what could have happened but before you go out for the night, before you actually start drinking you never think about that kinda stuff.Luckily now I have my boyfriend with me at all times when i go out and he makes sure i get home safe.

I know what you mean about the taxi's, I got in one by myself on Sat and I honestly can't remember the journey and I've no idea if I fell asleep or what. Scary thinking back but at the time I didn't have a care in the world and was more interested in where my next shot was.

It's made me a lot more cautious though and I'm not going to put myself in that position again because as you said, getting in that state is just asking for trouble especially if you're going home by yourself or if you're mates are just as bad.

Requiring alcohol to have a good time is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard, Tom

I think it's mainly because alcohol helps you relax so if you're out in town on water then you're not going to be as relaxed and you won't mingle as much as you would if you were drinking which would obviously make the night not as good.

My cousin though goes out every weekend and never drinks, he has a great time so I suppose alcohol isn't the be all and end all of a good night out.
