BRIT IN 'VIRGIN MARY' STORMTHE sun might shine off Britney Spears’s slaphead, but that is not a halo under the bad girl’s wig.
However, French producer Phillippe Rebboah has still cast the wild flasher as the Virgin Mary in a controversial movie adaptation of the nativity story.
The film will be called Sweet Baby Jesus, which is exactly what we exclaimed when we heard about the bizarre move.
And despite her movie flop Crossroads, in which the plot made a brief cameo, Britney is eager to take on the role.
The film features a pregnant 19-year-old who is not sure who the father of her child is.
The mum-of-two is currently reading the script for the satirical flick, which will be filmed in March next year.
Rebboah, who is premiering his new film The Guitar at the Sundance Festival next month, admitted: “I had to convince my partners because they were like: ‘Oh no, Britney?’ But I thought it was brilliant.
“Mary will go into labour in Bethlehem amid rumours that the baby will be the second coming.
“Mary was a celebrity and people will see the parallels this way.”
Hmm… we don’t recall the Bible chapter which describes the Virgin Mary flashing her holy areas while climbing off her donkey or attacking the Wise Men with an umbrella.
The decision has shocked the Christian community, who Brit, 26, recently offended by mocking the Holy Sacrament on her Blackout album. She enraged them with the album’s artwork, which featured a photo of her sitting on the knee of a male model who was dressed as a priest.
An insider said: “She will be punished by God for her shocking bad taste.”
We’re guessing a crucifixion is out of the question.
