Kym Ryder has apparently revealed that her young daughter Emily wants to join Coronation Street after getting into acting classes.
The 31-year-old, who plays Michelle Connor, told the Daily Star her 10-year-old daughter was determined to follow in her footsteps and land a role in Weatherfield.
Former Hear'Say singer Kym said: "She really enjoys her drama lessons and she's told me she wants to be in the Street."
The actress will face one of her most challenging storylines yet this Christmas, when Michelle finds out her son Ryan, played by Ben Thompson, 15, might not be her own.
Michelle learns that her boy might have been the victim of a hospital mix-up at birth, but the situation gets more tense when she meets Alex, who might be her real son, over Christmas.
Kym added: "He's the image of Michelle's late partner Dean. It's like looking at the lad she fell in love with."
