Love rat thinks ex-girlfriend overreactedMarc Bannerman thinks ex-girlfriend Sarah Matravers should be pleased for him and new love Cerys Matthews.

'If the roles were reversed I'd be happy for her,' he says.

Sarah, 33, dumped Marc after he flirted outrageously on-screen with I'm A Celeb junglemate Cerys Matthews and then sent her a love letter that was read out on national TV.

But Marc doesn't feel he's done anything wrong.

'I never cheated on anyone, I just fell in love with someone else,' he protests.

Marc, 34, also slams his ex for discussing her anguish and heartbreak in the press.

'I'm shocked that she's doing everything so publicly. If you love someone you don't do this to them,' he says.

Interestingly, Marc and Cerys have themselves made the most of publicity opportunities since they became loved-up.

They agreed a deal with a magazine for an exclusive photo shoot and interview and the Welsh ex-Catatonia star appeared in her scanties on the cover of a Sunday tabloid.

Despite his disappointment in his former girlfriend's behaviour, ex-EastEnder Marc insists that he wishes Sarah well.

'I just hope to God she can go on and find happiness,' he tells OK!

Isn't it sweet that Marc is prepared to forgive his ex-girlfriend for getting upset after he humiliated her on national TV? What a guy!
