Been idly wondering which celebrity stars are going to be taking over the house in Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack? Well, get a load of this - one of them is reportedly none other than Little Britain’s Matt Lucas!

The comedian, best-known for playing gobtastic teenager Vicky Pollard, will hopefully be ordering housemates around using his famous “Yeah but no but” schtick.

A show insider sounded delirious with excitement. “We are so excited to have Matt on board,” he said. “This is such a fantastic coup.” After last January’s debacle, let’s hope he doesn’t turn out to be a racist bigot!

So far, none of the other big names due to appear on the show during its four-week run have been revealed. Apart from Joan Rivers, that is, who inadvertently outed herself as a guest during an interview on Radio 5 Live.

“I’m coming over to do Big Brother,” she blurted. “I’m one of the mystery hosts and I will be giving them tasks to do.” You’re not a mystery host any more, are you Joan?

Matt would be a brilliant hijacker, although I'd have preffered David Walliams.

If he does do the show, I hope that he does the different Little Britain character voices.

Matt Lucas could be heading to the Big Brother house to take over the controls in next month's new series Celebrity Hijack, according to a report.

The Little Britain star, 33, is apparently due to use some of his infamous characters to help order the unsuspecting housemates around, such as Vicky Pollard making them do her homework, reports the Daily Star.

An insider is quoted as saying: "We are so excited to have Matt on board. This is such a fantastic coup."

The new format, which replaces the normal Celebrity Big Brother, will see famous faces taking over the reins of the voice of Big Brother and making housemates do whatever they like.

Celebrity Hijack will be screened on E4 and hosted by Dermot O'Leary in his last duty for the show before he gives up next year to concentrate on X Factor.

Joan Rivers has also been lined up to appear on the show - she spilled the beans about her appearance to Simon Mayo on Radio 5 Live.
