Was this Years Final Crap?

I know its still going on, but does anyone else think the final has been a dissapointment?

There was no 'At the CD Maker place thing!'
There was barely any appearance from the other finalists
The songs were quite boring
The winner was awfull!

I dont think there was a behind the schenes, and no returning of the finalists

I thought it was wonderful. The opening act was great and I was so glad that someone that can make something of the contract got it.

None of my favs have won this year except Shilpa.

Simon won over Kristina in Apprentice.
Brian won over the twins in Big Brother 8.
Leon won over Rydian (dunt mind aboiut that though)

I just hope Alesha wins SCD

SD were my Favourites, all though I didnt have clear favourites!

I just mean the whole Presentation of the show, there was no return of the other finalists at the end etc.

I thought this year's final was very good, the songs were very good (stand outs being the Leon Kylie Duet, Rhydian's songs and SD Christmas song) the guests were great and there was no OTT bitching!

I love Rhydian, but I still thought the final was great! I watched the repeat earlier. :bigsmile:

And Tommy - aw, don't call Leon a 'what'! :shocked:... he only started singing in January and has come such a long way - it gives hope to many out there! I agree that Rhydian's voice is by far better, but even if Leon may not be as good talent-wise, the contract would benefit him more so than Rhydian in my opinion. I preferred his version of the winner's single and loved him and Kylie. My mum loved him from the beginning, so when it came to Rhydian and Leon as the final two, and then Leon going on to win, it was one of those 'told you so' moments...

Plus, Leon's just so adorable. :love: You can't help but love him because of his overall personality.
I would have preferred to see Rhydian win because of his voice, but Leon still has a long way to go - and the final was by no means 'crap'.

I didn't really care about any of the finalists, I didn't have a favourite there, which is both good and bad. It's good because I can just sit back and enjoy without being nervous over my favourite not winning, but on the other hand it's bad because having a favourite to back on the show is enjoyable and you become more attached to the show.

I thought all three acts gave brilliant performances. SD opened the show briliantly, their duet was OK and I thought they did a great job with Breaking Free.

Rhydian was, as usual, brilliant, with Oh Holy Night, on You Raise Me Up he sounded amazing on his own, but IMO KJ's voice ruined the duet, her voice is so shrill and screechy. Then he sang Somewhere and he sounded great.

I didn't think Leon was good with White Christmas, but he did OK with his duet with Kylie. But just OK. Then he sang You Don't Know Me, and was fantastic, just as he was the first time he sang it. And I think he did a great job of the winner's single and even outsang Rhydian, which might have just swayed the vote in his favour!

I enjoyed the auditionees performance too! :bigsmile:

And the end result was a shock, very unpredictable which adds to all of that.

In terms of talent, it probably wasn't as good as other finals, but in terms of the excitement, the level playing field in the competition and the build up to the final result, it was enjoyable overall. This series overall has been poor but ended with a good final.

It was ok I suppose.

The rejects song was awful! But last year it was excellent, Edna introduced it, the song was really good, and Shaun was back!

Otherwise this year..... :whistle:

I prefer the head-to-head finals, as I feel it creates a lot more tension. Also, I would have liked more performances - Like last year we had the auditions, Shaun & the finalists - this year we just had the auditions.
