I love most things about the forum but I think that a few things need to be changed to make it more appealable and different. I think that karma needs to be scrapped and replaced with Sam's idea of 'Your other half' and a new banner at the top of the forum which covers all of the forum header instead of just a small section of it. Maybe some new forum rules to reduce arguements etc.

I like most things about the forum, I don't think that much needs to be changed.
I think the karma should just be scrapped because it is misused and many members have turned it off.
My only suggestion would be to scrap the karma. I think everything else is perfect.

TIBB has improved a lot since I joined here, in febrary 2006 so I can't see how the mods can do much more. They have done such amazing features and they make a great job. However, maybe they can change some rules, they shouldn't wait an argument to explose, when they see any kind of mean comments, they should punish that member.
But anyway, nothing to change !
supernoodles!

id like to see less threads being locked.Just because i posted ina thread that hadnt been posted in in a short while it got locked!
I like TiBB generally, but there's always room for improvement I suppose. Like everyone else said, scrap Karma or even at least make it that you can only give positive Karma, and maybe give the site a little makeover. lol.

"I think that karma needs to be scrapped and replaced with Sam's idea of 'Your other half' "
Karma can be turned on or off so there is NO problem with it whatsoever and there is therefore no reason why it should be removed or why the negative should be removed. As it's probably been said at least 50 times already ... if you don't like the karma then turn it off.
Also, the "other half" feature turns the site more into a social networking one; Bebo, MySpace etc when this is a Big Brother forum. Plus, at least with karma everybody has it and are free to turn it on/off if they wish but some people may feel "left out" if nobody wants to be their other half.
I also think that it ^^ would be more trouble than it's worth in regards to trying to get it on the forum.
As for improvements with the forum, I think it's fine as it is. I love the layout and banner still; it's nice and simple.
I agree with Legend, people will still moan that they aint got another half.

I agree completely Ant, but people aren't going to turn karma off. Everyone wants theirs to be high, but when it's being taken down the moaning happens. I learnt to get over it ages ago. Everyone else should really.

Bien, trés bien !
It's a Big Brother forum after all, sometimes we just have to stay on the topic, so the idea of the "other half" will bring tensions and moaning like the Karma did.

I dont think there should be a other half feature, and it may make new members feel left out. It also may make more arguments.
With the Karma, I think it could work well, but only those members with a postal count of over 1000 (or something) should have the right to loose it.
The main site really does need updating, and given a new look.

I think the forum is perfect, though the main site needs some updating.
I say updating the main site is something that would be beneficial.
