View Full Version : Could losing be a blessing in disguise for Rhydian?

By not winning, Rhydian has now got much more choice in his future career path. If he had won, he would have been under the control of Simon Cowell, but now he is only contracted to appear on the X-Factor tour. Andrew Lloyd Webber is apparantly interested in signing Rhydian up to appear in Phantom of Manhattan, which could spark a bidding war between him and Cowell and any other party vying to sign the Welshman. Rhydian will now be able to decide what's best for him, not what is best for Simon Cowell and the X-Factor. Does anyone else think that losing could be a blessing for Rhydian in the long term?

I agree with you.I think Rhydian has so many more options open to him because of his voice, he doesn't need to just be tied down to being just a recording artist.

yes deffinetly,i still say he was the best on the show and deserved to win over Leon but its good in a way becuase now he wont be forced into any particular career path and he can choose what he wants to do.

Rhydian will get more fame than Leon because he was better then him vocally! Leon will probably be a one-hit wonder anyway, Rhydian will be around for a while yet!

Possibly. It means he's not tied to the contract and can pursue other offers. Me will turn out to be much more sucessful than LEon.
