If you're not good looking and have no sob story that comes to mind...
You might get lucky by being monsterously ugly, or putting on a lot of weight.
And hopefully pull off a "Michelle Mcmanus" sympathy vote.
Anyhow, I hope you end up on tele =] whether for good or bad reasons lol.

I've thought about it, either by myself or with a friend, but I doubt we actually will go for it.
I'd either have to be really bad or really good to be memorable!
Also, as mentioned, you'd need a sob story, all the personal stuff attached: TXF has become different these days which makes it more entertaining to watch but at the same time less likely for anyone I know to apply for. We've been trying to get a lad in our year to audition: he's hilarious and would be memorable for his personality (not his singing abilities - that'd shock us!)
