Forgotten man Steve Brookstein slams new champ Leon JacksonForgotten X Factor winner Steve Brookstein has taken a swipe at Leon Jackson – labelling the new champ 'crud'.

Crooner Steve won the first series of the hit talent show in 2004, but split with Simon Cowell just 8 months later.

And the 39-year-old – whose most recent gig was in front of just 50 people at a pizza parlour in Kent – wasted no time in slamming 18-year-old Leon's credentials.

'I just can't believe it. Leon's such a crud,' he blasts.

'I'm sure he's a nice guy but there are so many talented people out there who don't get a chance to be heard.'

Steve also reckons Simon and fellow judge Sharon Osbourne don't have a clue when it comes to music.

'A week ago Simon Cowell called a trombone a trumpet, and a few weeks ago Sharon called a five-part harmony a four-part harmony,' he tells the Daily Record.

'I just think people should know what they're getting.'

Um, yeah, but they're both music biz millionaires...they must be doing something right.

And who is he to talk? Mr I'm not even good enough to perform at Butlins? Stop trying to get some attention, you had your 15 minutes and you blew it badly. Saying that Sharon and simon know nothing about music  I smell the scent of sour grapes in the air.

I think Tabby or cassie should have won the first series over him.

I'm not surprised he's pitched in, he's still not happy about how his career panned out. Leon better watch out he doesn't go the same way.
