View Full Version : What next for Same Difference?

It's all in the title. What do you think Same Difference will do off the back of the x-factor.
I can see them hosting a childrens TV show but I cant see anything involving singing. Seans Ok but Sarah has a very limited range, poor diction and her tone breaks up too easily. I cant see how any one would hire her as a singer.
What do you all think?
Here comes CBBC! Sam and Mark off Popidol host Tmi lol. Not singing though...i hope

I agree. Sarah's a pretty girl, she's likeable but please dont let her sing.

I think they'll do similar work to what Sam and Mark did ie. Kids TV.

Hopefully a successful album, and maybe some kids tv. It's something they want to do, so I hope they achieve that.

There's nothing wrong with Butlins. It's a job like everyone else has a job. Why don't I LMAO at your job?

Calm down dear.
It would be a step down from the X Factor. I'm sure working at Butlins would be lovely indeed, but performing there after this is, as I'm suggesting, not so great.

Personally, I think Butlins is a good job but it is a bit disappointing for an X-Factor finalist. I'd think they would be looking at some kind of recording contract. Thus, I'd truly would LMAO if they did end up at Butlins.

SD will get some kind of gig like that. I think any talk of successful albums is wishful thinking as I genuinely dont see who is going to buy their records.

Children between 6 and 12 y-o actually. I forgot about them. I take it you mean their parents will buy it.
The thing is, if they release an album what will be one it. I truly shdder to think. Surely it can't be all new material and an album of covers would give them only a limited shelf life. I really dont see a long tern future for them.

That's what I thought too. If they do release one, it will be just old songs remixed by their cheesy voices.

Hosting a children's TV show for a couple of years sounds very 'them'. I would think they'd really want to sing though, but even then I can only imagine it being on kids/teens channels. I'm sure Simon would be able to sort something out. So they will most likely get a record contract, get signed and sing for the next few years in those types of things: their comfort zone really. I can't see them becoming huge superstars, releasing CDs appealing to the mass market etc. - but as long as they're doing something they enjoy, because that'd be important for them above all.

Hopefully they'll just sink back into obscurity :bored:

Connie couldn't sing very well, IMO.
But yes, I think Same Difference will follow a similar path to Sam and Mark from Pop Idol.

Other way round =) No way. Sean is a decent singer at best. Sarah is not very good at all. She's got poor diction, a very limited vocal range and her tone breaks whenever she tries to put any kind of power in to voice. I'll be stunned if she makes a career as a singer..

I didn't think so. I thought it was a bit rubbish, to be honest. Big difference obviously, but Charlotte Church was what, 11 or 12 when she became famous? A few years older than Connie, but massively more talented. I'm kind of off topic, haha.

She wasn't terrible. But I didn't think she was good at all. Just really cringeworthy.

Just really cringeworthy. I agree. It was definitely exploitation TV.
I'd imagine they will go into doing something for kids television that will involve them singing some cheesy little songs and one of them may end up being a novelty record.
I cannot see a proper career as recording artists for them.

They might end up dressin g up in Mr Blobby type costumes to entertain kids. It's about their limit. Butlins is too good for them.
Nicky.

SD managed to come 3rd in xf - same as last years ben, and he has a album out - so no reason they cant!!

SD are loads better than connie We'll see. As I stated in another thread, I cant see what will be on the album. New material would be a huge risk and an album of covers would bury them. Ben may have an album out but it's not doing very well. I'm sure more people would anticipate an album from him than from SD. After all, he can actually sing.
