Screaming Amy - held over 'plot' - now bailed.
POP diva Amy Winehouse was yesterday escorted screaming and crying to be arrested over the alleged plot to nobble her husband’s GBH trial.
Amy, 24, was held on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in the case against husband Blake Fielder-Civil.
She was quizzed for nearly two and a quarter hours at Shoreditch Police Station, East London.
Earlier, she freaked out and broke down sobbing. Psychiatrists and lawyers turned up at her home in nearby Bow to calm her before she faced cops.
At one point her date with police was in jeopardy of being called off because she wasn’t deemed mentally fit.
But the junkie singer was eventually driven to the station by minders and taken in via a back entrance at around 5.30pm.
She was quizzed over an alleged plot to try and bribe a witness beaten in a pub in August 2006.
Cops arrested Amy on suspicion of paying an alleged £200,000 to the victim.
He is said to have promised to drop his statement against Blake, 25, who is in custody.
She gave a saliva DNA sample, fingerprint and had a photo taken before being released on bail.
Scotland Yard said: “A 24-year-old woman has been bailed to return to an East London police station on a date in early March, pending further inquiries.”
Amy was driven away via a concealed entrance, accompanied by her mum Janis and two other passengers.
A spokesman for the star confirmed: “She attended a police station voluntarily and at a pre-agreed time.
“She was arrested but that is common practice for someone being interviewed by police.
“There have been no charges and she has been released.”
The Rehab singer arrived back home looking startled and anxious.
She was joined by her friend Tyler, who had earlier said that Amy planned a quiet night in.
He told The Sun while she was being quizzed by cops: “We are just waiting for her to finish so we can go home, watch a DVD, have a bit of food, and go to bed early.”
