G4 has been named the most financially successful finalist of X-Factor since the programme began. Research reveals how the classical quartet has earned almost double the amount of Shayne Ward, winner in the same series, according to leading independent personal finance website Fool.co.uk.

With Leon crowned X-Factor winner this weekend, Fool.co.uk has analysed past participants to see if winners of the show generate the most cash. The research shows that only two of the top five most successful X-Factor contestants were the actual show winners – something that could be music to Rhydian’s ears!

Budding auditionees for next year show might want to keep this in mind, with other X-Factor losers such as Andy Abraham and Journey South outselling the show’s first winner Steve Brookstein by over £1 million.

David Kuo, Head of Personal Finance at Fool.co.uk, says: “Whether you’re a pop superstar, must have wedding singer, or just enjoy singing in the shower, it’s vital that you stay in control of your financial performance. By logging on to Fool.co.uk, you can get advice and compare the best deals that’ll help you in your bid to avoid financial stage fright. Fool.co.uk helps you make the right financial decisions to ensure you’re a winner”.

G4 and Shayne weren't in the same series. To be fair, anyone could outsell Steve Brookstein it isn't a hard achievement :joker:

But it is true, quite a few acts go on to sell quite a few records really.

They were great in series one. As I recall, Louis hated them. Muppet.
