Geri Halliwell's shocking weight loss could be dangerous, nutrition experts warn.

Geri, who's admitted battling bulimia in the past, undertook a gruelling diet and fitness regime in a bid to be the skinniest member of the Spice Girls on their reunion tour.

The star looked a shadow of her former self last week in Los Angeles.

An onlooker said: 'She's so thin now that it makes her look really old and frail.'

The 35-year-old Spice Girl eats little more than oily fish, nuts and soy and works out mercilessly.

Diet and fitness expert Nicki Waterman says: 'I thought that having a child [daughter Bluebell, now 19 months old] had had a positive effect on Geri's health, making her take stock of her life, but obviously that hasn't happened.

'She's competing with Victoria in particular. When you're consistently burning more calories than you're taking in, the body starts to break down and there's a risk of organ failure.'
