I will try and say this as nice as possible , which is proving difficult giving my misantrophic mood at the moment , but I think I can speak for 99.9% of the forum when i say we have all made up our minds on liking Pete Burns or not. Dead or Alive front man Pete Burns has been announced as the headline act to play at this year's Rainbowfest in Aberdeen.

The event is to be held on the beach front at Queen's Links Aberdeen on Saturday 5th July, and organisers said they want it to be Scotland's biggest LGBT event yet.

The festival is the idea of local promoter Gary Noble and aims to bring together the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals in the area along with their families.

Burns will be joined on the day by ex So-Solid crew member Lisa Mafia and duo Booty Love.

Mr Noble, who runs a local gay club in Aberdeen:

"The general consensus of opinion was to hold a Pride event in Aberdeen in 2008, although we felt that the concept of previous events was becoming outdated.

"I knew we need to change the direction of the event when we carried out a survey of Pride members and more people wanted more hot food stands than information and campaigning.

"The Rainbowfest will focus more on integration rather than campaigning and we hope it's going to be an intergenerational event which everyone can come to and enjoy, regardless of their age, gender or sexual orientation.

"The fact that Lisa Mafia will be one of the headline acts is really significant in showing how diverse the day's going to be and I think there will be something going on to suit everyone's tastes."

The open air concert is free and will also feature a youth area, under 18s disco, stalls and a beer tent.

Burns is without doubt one of this country's true divas. His background is now a thing of legend and turns on Celebrity Big Brother and Pete Burns' PA have proven him to be a formidable opponent of pretty much anyone choosing to get in his way. Prone to making mincemeat of anyone who argues with him, could the Poptastic gang have bitten off more than they can chew here?

"Pete is actually more a perfectionist than anything else," explains the esteemed Mr Hamilton of his superstar special guest. "He just wants everything to be right. So yes, we are pulling out all the stops to make things as smooth as possible but it's going to be worth it, isn't it?"

"I first met Pete quite accidentally," continues John. "He'd been at Pride one year and after a no doubt provocative evening out found himself at a night I was doing called Hell For Leather, where we gave him and his entourage the full VIP treatment, even convincing him to take to the stage at Pride again the next day. So getting him on for Poptastic seemed perfect... not to mention possible."

Poptastic is having something of a second summer at the moment with the Saturday night bash even eclipsing Tuesday's more student vibe. Nights of its size and aesthetic are big news in the city and Clique and Key Money Lipstick are fine examples of Manchester's new wave of cool pop clubbing - and it's safe to say owe something of a debt to Hamilton's trailblazing night.

"Everything goes in cycles," says John. "Our job is to stay ahead, not get too fashionable and keep listening to what the regulars want. For example, for Tuesday's birthday we have two great bands Daggers and Salty Lips playing which are both great up-and-coming bands. We like to strike a balance between keeping things fun and keeping things cool."

There's no denying Pete Burns is the shining star of this particular party and tickets for the event are going as quickly as you'd expect. "

Judging be the e-mails we've had, people are traveling from far and wide to the party," says John. "We've even had one guy planning to come over from New York. Well, you never know..."

Hi all,

I was just advised by Pete's management team that Pete had to pull out of the Manchester gig at the last minute yesterday. He was extremely upset about it too. After spending all day Monday being filmed by the Japanese TV crew, he got up Tuesday morning and noticed that his voice was going. He still went up to Manchester though, hoping that the situation would improve, but by the time soundcheck came around, Pete's condition had developed into a full-blown throat infection and he was unable to sing.

Pete said he was heartbroken about not being able to do the show and will reschedule. I've been asked to tell you all what happened and stress that he is very very sorry for letting everyone down.

TALK about diva strops... Flamboyant Dead Or Alive star Pete Burns topped them all when he refused to stay in a top Manchester hotel suite - complaining there was "not enough light".

Pete, famed for his abrasive behaviour on reality shows Celebrity Big Brother and Pete's PA, spun right round on his heels and out of Manchester when a second hotel room at the four-star deluxe Palace Hotel was not deemed "light" enough either.

His hissy fit left fans disappointed, as the singer had been due to perform at the 12th birthday bash of Manchester club institution Poptastic at The Birdcage in the city centre on Tuesday night.

Organisers had frantically hunted for an alternative hotel after Pete rejected The Palace - and offered him a corner suite with lots of windows at the Midland Hotel as well, but he refused to even look at it and instead flounced off in a white van back to London.

More than 1,000 fans turned up at The Birdcage expecting You Spin Me Round singer Pete - but Poptastic boss John Hamilton had to explain to the disappointed masses he wouldn't be coming.

Fee back

Clubbers were offered a refund, and now Poptastic want Pete's performance fee back, too.

They are fuming that they complied to his list of "riders" - including laying on a load of Snickers chocolate bars - but he still wasn't happy. John said: "We booked Pete for the event, we paid for him and we provided him with everything he had asked for.

"But when he walked into the hotel room he said there wasn't enough light. The hotel changed the room, and the concierge even brought extra lights in, but he had a hissy fit and said it wasn't good enough for him.

"We then got him a suite in The Midland, but he was wasn't interested in that, either. He just got in his white transit van and off he went back to London.

"It left us completely in the lurch, and having to explain to 1,000 people what had happened. People were stunned - some had flown over from Amsterdam especially to see him."

But it clearly wasn't to the exacting standards of Mr Burns. No one was available from the singer's management to comment on his bizarre behaviour yesterday.

Dead Or Alive star Pete Burns was scheduled to appear at Manchester’s Poptastic clubnight earlier this month, but let fans down after refusing to stay in a top Manchester hotel suite because there was “not enough light".

Burns, who is partly famous for his brash attitude and aggressive behaviour on celebrity reality TV show Big Brother complained about the lack of light in his four-star deluxe Palace Hotel room, and when offered another room in the same hotel he was equally disappointed with the lightning and left.

Burns’ actions left more than a 1,000 fans disappointed, as the singer had been due to due a live P.A. at the 12th birthday bash of gay Manchester club night Poptastic at The Birdcage on Tuesday 8 April.

Organisers tried frantically to find the star another suitable hotel in the city, and even offered him a corner suite with lots of windows at the four star Midland Hotel, but Burns’ refused to even look at it and instead stamped his feet and drove off in a white van back to London.

Poptastic organiser John Hamilton explained the situation to clubbers and offered them all a refund on their £10 tickets.

Hamilton said that he couldn’t believe it when Burns’ left, even after they had complied with his ridiculous list of "riders" including laying on a load of Snickers chocolate bars.

Hamilton told Manchester Evening News: "We booked Pete for the event, we paid for him and we provided him with everything he had asked for.

"But when he walked into the hotel room he said there wasn't enough light. The hotel changed the room, and the concierge even brought extra lights in, but he had a hissy fit and said it wasn't good enough for him.

"We then got him a suite in The Midland, but he wasn’t interested in that, either. He just got in his white transit van and off he went back to London.

"It left us completely in the lurch, and having to explain to 1,000 people what had happened. People were stunned - some had flown over from Amsterdam especially to see him."

Poptastic will now be pursuing Burns’ management company for the fee they paid him before the event.

Last week, police launched an investigation after Burns alleged that Simpson had assaulted him at home, breaking his collarbone.

Burns said he wanted to file for divorce. He added: "Would I get married again? If somebody knocked me on the head with a nine-inch nail-studded plank or drugged me with benzodiazepine ... No, no, no."

Derek Munn, of the gay rights organisation Stonewall, said: "Civil partnerships have brought joy and fulfilment to thousands of lesbian and gay couples.

A representative for Pete Burns has denied rumours that the singer scrapped an appearance at a Gay Pride festival in in Gran Canaria because another band was using his song.

It was reported yesterday that the Celebrity Big Brother star stormed away from the event after learning that Bearforce1 included part of Dead or Alive hit 'You Spin Me Round' in their set.

However, his online PA said the star was "hyped and excited" ahead of the gig on Saturday night but had arrived too late due to airport delays following a last-minute booking.

He was reportedly replaced because the festival's organisers believed he would be unable to make it.

Pete Burns won’t be spinning right round in gay pride line-up

A NORTH-EAST gay, lesbian and bisexual festival has dumped Celebrity Big Brother star Pete Burns after he stormed out of a gay pride event in the Canary Islands.

The singer, who rose to fame with 1980s band Dead or Alive, refused to play at the Gran Canaria Gay Pride Festival and is reported to have destroyed his hotel room shortly after.

It is claimed that the 48-year-old stormed out of the Maspalomas event last week after hearing another band singing a cover of his smash hit song, You Spin Me Round (Like A Record), which is still a dance-floor favourite.

Following the spat, Burns parted company with his booking agents Create Music, who had booked him to play the Rainbowfest in Aberdeen on July 5.

But festival organisers have decided against re-booking the star through his new agent.

“We have decided that we don’t want to go through similar issues and therefore are not booking him through his new agent,” a spokesman for the festival said.

Burns launched himself back into the public eye with his appearance on last Celebrity Big Brother 2006, where he starred alongside comedian Michael Barrymore, MP George Galloway and US basketball star Dennis Rodman.

He has been replaced at Rainbowfest by The Original Bucks Fizz, who won the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest.

They will be joined by dance favourite Booty Love, who have had two top 10 hits in the last year. Also on the bill is So Solid Crew member Lisa Maffia

The family event, which is organised by Aberdeen’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, takes place at Queen’s Links.

It will be part hosted by Jan Hamilton, the Stonehaven soldier who became the first officer in the armed forces to have a sex change. As Ian Hamilton, the 43-year-old served in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq but last year became Jan, and has since featured in a TV documentary.

THE spirit of Eric’s returns for one night only – as the Carling Academy recreates the legendary Liverpool club.

As part of the On Song festival, Julian Cope and Pete Burns will perform a special set at the city centre Hotham Street venue.

Organisers are working with Eric’s co-founder Ken Testi to recreate the atmosphere of the iconic site which spawned so many Liverpool bands.

On Song will celebrate the process of songwriting celebrating all genres of music from rock and folk to electro and indie.

Combining established musicians and up and coming artists, it aims to reflect the range of music that exists in Liverpool and the city's rich musical heritage.

Carling Academy manager Sam Jones said: “It’s going to be fantastic to see two artists who haven’t played together for such a long time.

“The last time Julian Cope played here was great. And Pete has never played here so we’re really looking forward to it.

“It’s great to have Ken Testi involved. He’s said he’s looking forward to having Eric’s represented on a stage with live music again – rather than in a museum.

“Best of all we’re looking forward to celebrating the songs in a festival of songwriting, where they belong.”

Pete Burns was the Eric’s regular who shot to fame as the frontman of the Hi-NRG band Dead or Alive.

They are best remembered for their 1985 number one single You Spin Me Round (Like a Record).

The Port Sunlight singer/songwriter went on to appear on Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Wife Swap.

Cope launched his career in Liverpool in the late 1970s when he formed seminal post-punk band The Teardrop Explodes.

He's now married with two daughters, Albany, 13, and Avalon, 10, and lives in converted stables in Wiltshire.

The organisers have refused to speculate on any other Eric’s regulars who might make an appearance.

“Who knows who’ll turn up?” said Sam.

“But I’m sure there will be some surprises on the night.”

The capricious perception of Pete Burns vaults with each image of him that sneaks into the tabloid press. Is Pete the caustic scouser we saw on Celebrity Big Brother, or someone seeking refuge from the market of public opinion? Certainly, Pete himself seems ambivalent towards the question as our interview begins frostily:

“I am what I am and I do what I do and that doesn’t directly effect any of the things that offshoot from it. I’ve rejected every kind of label. I lead a very different kind of life to what most people would think that I lead.” I ask him about his unique personal style, to which he replies “I’ll give you a one word answer”, but he heartily doubles the significance of his responses with a desultory “Yeah yeah”.

Luckily, however, Pete warms up. His iconic style and his affinity for Vivienne Westwood’s clothes becomes the subject of discussion: “They were the first clothes that changed my life. Way back in the seventies she was the only person doing anything different. It was one of the things that had a big impact on my life, but she’s mainstream now. Once she put the pin through the nose of the queen and now she’s a Dame.” His sense of style meant that he got noticed on the local Liverpool music scene. After two other musical projects (Mystery Girls and Nightmares in Wax) that never really took off, Pete formed Dead or Alive, a New Wave band that found considerable international success with the classic ‘You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)’. A short time after the band’s 1980 inception, Pete became embroiled in a feud with Boy George, whom he accused of stealing his look and sanitising it for the mass market.

“Successful artists these days are either tremendously disciplined or they’re a good actress. You have to deaden your brain to it”
He has mellowed, however: “At the time I was livid – we were like spitting queens spitting fire at the time, but you grow up with age and what does it matter. Everything is a generic version of something else. Everything is mass consumption. Life is just a big supermarket with things you can steal and appropriate for yourself. It all seems like very long ago but at the time it was like a bunch of angry hairdressers bitching about who had the longest dreadlocks. If I ever kept a press file I’m sure I’d cringe at anything I’ve ever said.”

Pete, who will turn 50 on Thursday, checks his nostalgia by saying “I certainly don’t think I’m in the bloom of youth anymore.” His high-maintenance appearance is deeply impressive, but he maintains “I’m not as concerned by how I look all the time as I used to be when I was younger. When you’re young it’s a sign of self-expression but as you’re older you find different ways to express yourself. I’m not interested in fashion in the mainstream in any way whatsoever. I couldn’t name you any of the new fashion designers, I don’t attend Fashion Week and I don’t look at fashion magazines because for me it’s just another means of conforming.”

Pete has avoided conformity throughout his life and career. Dead or Alive’s sound was considered a revelation amidst the synth-pop of the early 80’s. He claims that he “didn’t expect any kind of success”, but ‘Spin Me’ ensured ongoing publicity commitments and an exhausting schedule. Moreover, the success of that one song overshadowed all the work Dead or Alive had recorded before or since: “In retrospect I wish there had been more of a natural growth period but there just wasn’t they did what they did and it was as if everyt hing else was wiped out.”

During this successful time, however, Pete underwent profound personal trauma, having to reject a support slot on Madonna’s infamous ‘Like a Virgin’ tour due to his mother’s terminal lung cancer. He says that “if we had gone on tour the record company would have been willing to push all these buttons to make the next album go platinum,” but is adamant that this time enabled personal growth and reflection. At the height of the band’s popularity Pete worked with Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW) - Kylie and Bananarama hitmakers – in what has been portrayed by Pete Waterman since as a fraught relationship. Pete Burns is keen to provide a reality check: “It was just their name on it that meant it got taken more seriously and we had a number one.”

Pete despairs of the ‘inhuman’ workload imposed on artists by record companies keen to milk hit records for all they’re worth: “You make a record maybe in July, it’s not released until the November, and even by the time you’re doing that you feel like you’re stuck in the past. Then you spend a year going around the world, promoting it in all the countries that it’s Number 1 in and you really need to do either something new or nothing at all. Successful artists these days are either tremendously disciplined or they’re a very good actress, able to talk about their product all the time. You have to deaden so much of your brain to keep up with the repetition.”

‘Spin Me’ became SAW’s first number one – a success they were more than keen to repeat. Many of their artists began to sport a similar sound. Pete claims that the flagrant copying was obvious: “Bananarama themselves had put it down in print that they went in and asked for a record that sounded like Spin Me. And that’s what they got. SAW were in the best place because they didn’t want to work with people of an artistic temperament, they wanted people who came in, did what they were told and repeated the formula over and over again until nobody wanted it anymore. It was a very acrimonious split between us. They were immensely talented songwriters, and immensely talented producers who only showed 10% of their talent on the records the public got to hear.”

‘Spin Me’ has been covered and sampled by a diverse range of artists, most recently by rapper Flo Rida, whose version of the song currently sits at Number 1 in the official UK singles chart. Having been forced to sell his back catalogue to pay for reconstructive surgery, Pete receives no royalties from his records, but he was regardless happily surprised when I informed him that ‘Right Round’ sat atop the midweek charts. “It’s very flattering that something that I did maybe thirty years ago now and has been dug out by somebody. I think it’s better than my version and I wish I’d done their version. I wish I had my time all over again, and I wish I could start without the boundaries that were in place when I started making music.”
Pete’s career, which he admits doesn’t operate on a ‘normal rota’, has for the past few years consisted of television work for Channel 4, Living TV, ITV and MTV. I ask whether he has to doctor what he says and thinks for these mainstream shows: “Oh absolutely. You’re given a script and you read the script off the idiot board and it’s very easy work and it’s very handsomely paid and it’s over in a day.”

Pete is happy to play the character the producers want – either the softer Pete of Wife Swap or acid-tongued character on Big Brother. For example, on a number of shows, both him and his civil partner, Michael Simpson, have talked of Pete’s one and a half hour daily make-up ritual. Pete explains that this is “complete balls. But you think there’s the cheque - it’s two days work, it’s pretty mind numbing. The most real reality show was Big Brother because halfway through I was unaware of the cameras. I just didn’t want to be in there. I needed the money desperately because I’d just come home from Italy and I didn’t want to stay in there I didn’t want to bond with anyone. But it backfired and I was kept in for the full run of the show. The general public seemed to fall in love with me. Even to this day people call after me ‘Big Brother Big Brother, we love you we love you’ - the black community in particular. And it did me a lot of good. TV people were very reticent to have me on their shows before Big Brother, but now they all want me. Some of the offers that I get are just ridiculous, like cookery shows. I don’t cook and I won’t cook. But sometimes the money is great and I think ‘Oh I’ll go on and cook something, shove something in the microwave’.”

Celebrity Big Brother brought Pete to the attention of a whole new generation. Pete’s verbal assaults on his assembled housemates are the stuff of legend - Jodie Marsh (“I wouldn’t piss on her if she burst into flames”), Traci Bingham (“You’re insincere to the point of nausea”) and Rula Lenska (“I don’t go in for all this spiritualist, zen ****. Every morning I chant ‘**** off **** off **** off’”) all suffered considerable battery. Pete believes that the fur coat controversy was “perpetrated by Big Brother. Bringing the whole fur issue in was very clever PR”, and is similarly dismissive of the rest of his experience in the house: “I hated every second. I’d just come back from two years of intensive surgery in Italy and it was the first time I’d been apart from my husband for any longer than two days - it was absolutely hell. I was withdrawn from all my medication. I couldn’t have my medication there because it couldn’t be approved by the official medical board since my doctor was based in Italy. I suffered anaesthetic withdrawal, painkiller withdrawal and steroid withdrawal. The house was like going cold turkey but it wasn’t the reason for any of my behaviour.”

Despite numerous appearances on TV talking about his personal life, Pete is adamant that the world of showbiz and unmitigated torpor of trivial celebrity news does not interest him: “You see soul-selling every day. There’s a TV channel called the E channel - it’s full of people selling their soul, talking complete innocuous rubbish There are probably 150 magazines out every week, like Heat magazine, Hello magazine, Goodbye magazine, I cannot identify with anybody who’s interested in that sort of thing.”

We move on to talk about his experiences with both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Pete had his first nose job in 1984, but wasn’t happy with the results, using an eye patch to distract attention from the centre of his face. “Anybody who has had extensive cosmetic surgery will have problems. It’s not a guaranteed thing and the nose job was not what I wanted. I had to work through the success of ‘Spin Me’ without showing it because I hated what it looked like.”

Pete’s experiences with reconstructive surgery are well documented. Pete has filed a lawsuit, the value of which could top £1million, against his Herley Street cosmetic surgeon Dr Viel. He explains “It’s still problematic. It’s something that will be with me for the rest of my life and the subject of a major lawsuit. It’s very serious - I nearly lost my life.” The problems began around 2003. “I met the Scissor Sisters and they asked me to do a song with them. They wanted to remix my back catalogue - Sophisticated Boom Boom or something like that - and record new stuff. But previous to working with them I’d had problems working with my lips. I didn’t talk about it in 2003 because I thought people might find it funny but it wasn’t. It ended up migrating into my kidneys, I had kidney failure, I was on morphine drips… I couldn’t take on any major body of work as I didn’t know what was going to happen. I needed a surgeon to sort it out. After a long time of doing nothing I consented to do one song with the Scissor Sisters and the next day I was so swollen it was unbelievable and I knew something serious had happened. Its probably the most extreme case of anything like this that’s on record.”

Pete still suffers the effects of the botched lip injections to this day: “I’m going for diagnostic tests for swellings in the face and swellings inside the kidneys, I’ve been in ill health for four or five months with various maladies. Unfortunately at the moment I’m not wealthy enough to go into the private medical sector to get it sorted. I have to go through the NHS which is very very complicated. I went in a few weeks ago for something quite serious, an inflammation somewhere in my body, and the specialist wrote to my actual general practioner. Before he went on about my medical complaint - which I’m not willing to talk about - he talked about the amount of tattoos all over my body. I go to a doctor but they’re not hearing my words. I’m at that age now where I go and see a doctor and the doctor danced to my record when he was seventeen. And he’s wondering what it was like in the 80s and I’m in considerable pain.”

Contrary to what one might expect, Pete lives a largely solitary life of reading, watching DVDs and generally spending time with his partner. He still, however, has hopes for the future and goals he wants to achieve: “I don’t think I’ve achieved my best work yet. I’ll hold out forever for the Pet Shop Boys. I saw the Brit Awards a few weeks ago and I was absolutely stunned by the power of their catalogue. It was such an honour to work with them when I did ‘Jack and Jill Party’ [a song Pete recorded with PSB in 2003]. It was a tragedy that the lip situation flared up to an uncontrollable degree and I couldn’t continue working with them. I want the Pet Shop Boys to take me and make me sound exactly like them. I just love their sound. When I hear a record I want it to make me happy or lift my spirits in some way. I hope I managed to achieve that in some way with my music.

That Pete still has musical ambitions is a comfort to his fans and a source of intrigue for the general public. At present, he appears focused on living day to day: doing television work that allows him to keep ticking over. His self-perception shifts every day, and he forcefully upholds his right to change his mind about himself whenever he wishes. For Pete, his past opinions are an irrelevance, but they form a rich archive, populated by scathing witticism and stylistic flair.

Dead or Alive singer/UK reality TV hot mess Pete Burns has landed in the hospital due to kidney failure!!!

The divalicious star announced his condition to fans on his official website Sunday:

…i simply want it annouced i collapsed on wed and was rushed to hospital going in two kidneys failure and rushed for emerngency 5 hours surgery were they found 8 stones in each kidney but were unable to remove them as they were blocking both the kidney. The uretha and bladder. I'm in a very serious conditions on 24 hours intravenous morphine for the pain. Intravenous fluid as i'm so dehytrade and the kidneys cant retain the liquid. I also have diabetes insipidus which is puling water from my lung. Liver heart and brain. I'm criticaly ill and under 24 hours observation and will be in hospital for quite along time.

Pete Burns: 'I was attacked by fan'

Eighties singer Pete Burns claims his bag was stolen after he was attacked by a fan in the street when he refused to pose for a photo with the stranger.
The Dead or Alive singer denied claims he and his husband Michael Simpson were arrested themselves following the bust up outside a restaurant in Soho in London.

The cross-dressing star was seen being bundled into a police van after the public row on Monday evening but the star claims he was just hitching a ride home.

A spokesman today told Metro: 'A member of the public kept persisting to take a picture of Pete Burns. When Pete declined, an argument between Pete and the guy started.'

'Pete got up and walked away but the other person ran after him and pulled his hair and kicked him in the back.

'The police were called and while they waited for the police Pete went inside the restaurant. While Michael followed him inside, the person who assaulted Pete stole Pete's bag (containing bank cards, Mobile phone and keys to his house).'

'When the police arrived to take all the details they offered to take them back to Pete's address, which why they were in a police car.'

The star, 49, was arrested three years ago after an alleged assault at his Notting Hill home.

"So funny thing happened about 8 weeks ago, i was in Topshop in London in a daze, walking around aimlesslessly. For some strange reason i was in the Kate Moss section of the Oxford Street store. It was a really strange day - i'd coincidently bumped into my brother and cousin within the space of 10 minutes. Then i bumped into Pete Burns. When i say bumped into, i mean i spotted him and then spent about ten minutes trying to grow some balls to go and ask him the question " Would you like to feature on a track with my band?"....
I did. He did. We did....I must have looked like a right ****!

It's great. The song is so good and i can't wait for eveyone to hear it! We are going in to the Mixing studios in London This week to finish eveything up.
Elecronics Kyle and I are also Writing and Producing for a possible Pete Burns album, and the first cut we have for that is gonna blow you away. Once this hook gets into your head, you will not be able to get the ****er out.
Oh and a certain Monseiur Steve Coy of Dead or Alive and Pete's Manager, is currently representing us too. They are both ****ing hilarious. They are both Uber talented and passionate. It's been such an uplifting experience.

Update form dirty disco

so far, we have worked with pete on 2 tracks, one is a collaboration and one is a song for pete. both have been recorded and mixed and will just need mastering.

so everything is ready to go, what we are waiting for now is backing from a label. communication has not broken down, steve is representing us and always keeps us in the loop. by thumbs up i simply meant financial backing in the form of a label to support the release, as you must appreciate everything costs something these days!

i hope this clears any confusion up and i really hope its not too much longer before its released!

CELEBRITY Big Brother star Pete Burns has won £450,000 damages from the plastic surgeon who "ruined his life".
Pete, 49 - singer with 1980s band Dead Or Alive - suffered horrific swelling and blisters after Harley Street surgeon Maurizio Viel gave him lip implants.

He said the treatment left him looking like he had been "mutilated with a Stanley knife".

He could not eat normally, had to drink through a straw and did not leave his house for months.

Eventually Pete - who was on CBB in 2006 - had more than 100 operations in Italy in a bid to correct the damage.

He said: "It has taken away my life and my career.

"I saw doctors in London who said the only option was to amputate my lips. I was suicidal."

Pete claimed his career was left in tatters when it should have been at its peak, and said he lost his home as a result.

His lawyers said he would continue to need treatment.

He agreed the out-of-court settlement after Dr Viel, of the London Centre for Aesthetic Surgery, admitted negligence in ignoring instructions from the implant manufacturers and giving the singer too many injections.
