The reason why there is so many possible dates for the UK debut is because of scheduling issues, the fear that the WGA Strike could interfere and halt the show mid-season, just like it has done in the USA, Canada etc. However, another reason is, Channel 4 may be trying out some new shows or showing new episodes of Old favourites. If the worst case scenario does happen and the show is pushed back as far as late March, it is likely that episodes airtimes may be affected by the ninth series of Big Brother

And i read that it will be returning in a couple of weeks time (USA)

So, we should get the whole season non-stop.

So, Wednesday 26th:
Ep 1

Next Wednesday:
Ep 2

Wednesday after:
Ep 3 (By now, USA would of started EP11 again)

I think its great that Gabby can get other storylines other than 'ditzy' and 'stupid' lines, like her comedy moments (which are very funny).

When Edie goes to Orson's apartment to complain about Bree, she notices Orson's statement about Benjamin. Edie then blackmails Bree into being kind to her or she will reveal all her secrets. When Bree tells Susan, Lynette and Gabrielle about Benjamin's true parentage and Edie's attempt to blackmail her, they march down to Edie's house to confront Edie and tell her that they are finished with her forever. Edie's apologies to the women of Wisteria Lane fall on deaf ears. As Edie leaves Wisteria Lane for good, she tells her son Travers that she will be spending Mother's Day with him. In fact, she will be spending a lot more time with Travers from now on.

True because in a interview with Vanity Fair Marc Cherry said he would like the series to end in 2011 at the end of Season 7. It also says, interstingly, that all key members off the cast will stay untill then.

Im bewildered as they have gone forward 5 whole years for no reason...which can only suggest from now on Desperate Housewives will be in flashback which i think is highly unlikely as it will be boring and similar to Lost......

Desperate Housewives: Season Six.

The Story so far…

Brie Van der Kamp-Hodge is publishing her own cook book, with Andrew as her personal assistant. Brie is still married to Orson who is wheelchair bound due to Mike Delfino running him over and Danielle is at College. Benjamin is now 5 and starting school.

Lynette and Tom Scavo are trying to handle the fact that they have no children left at home after the twins (Porter and Preston) have grown up and left home at 16 and Parker is in prison for burglary, Penny now lives with Karen McChuskey as Lynette couldn’t mentally look after her child. Lynette and Tom decided to sell the pizzeria for a wealthy $170,000 dollars.

Gabrielle and Carlos Solice now have 2 twin girls. Juanita and Celia, who attend a private school, Gabrielle is run down and still has to look after Carlos who is still blind but his vision has somewhat improved, they are nearly in poverty.

Susan Mayer has a new lover, Jack, and is currently going through a divorce with ex husband Mike Delfino. Her daughter Julie is currently working in Austria as a scientist on ecological movements. Maynard is now 5 and attends the same Private school as Gabrielle’s twin girls and Benjamin Hodge – even though they are in different classes. Mike is staying in Bobs spare room next door as he ran over Orson in revenge for him running over Mike. Susan hasn’t ever forgiven him, this leads to there divorce. Mike also is on trial for the attempted manslaughter of Orson.

Katherine still lives in her great Aunts house on Wisteria Lane and is a single woman. Dylan now lives in Paris and is engaged to her boyfriend and soon to be married.

Bob and Lee have split up and separated. Lee has moved into Andrew Hodge’s new, bigger home and they are having a relationship. Bob still hasn’t got over the pain of losing Lee and asks Mike to stay over as he has no where else to stay, Bob offers the spare room which Mike now lives from.

Edie bulldozed her house and is currently moving out of town, she often comes back to check on the progress of her new bigger house that is been built, with a basement. Edie is now also a Lesbian, but escapades in Heterosexual and Homosexual Relationships, including a relationship with Brent.

Karen McChuskey has passed away 2 years ago, and died of an unexpected heart attack. Her house has been sold to a new couple Jenny and Lucifer Hart, who haven’t yet moved onto the Lane but have bought the house. Notably they don’t like children or talk about them or anything.

Brent a new character on the lane lives on his own, in Ida’s old house. He is a ladies man and all the girls on Wisteria Lane fancy him. He has a dark secret, he’s pregnant.

New Characters

Jenny and Lucifer Hart – A newlywed couple on the street in Karen’s Old house
Brent Soos – A transsexual female who is living on the street in Ida’s old house
Iwana – Bob and Lee’s Taiwan Baby
Jack – Susan’s New lover

Notable Story lines in Season Six

Travers is dead and Edie’s Cocaine addiction; Edie has bulldozed the house she lived in for one good reason, to burry her son in the basement. Edie killed her son by giving him cocaine, she gave him too much and we see in a flashback how this happens. Brent, who is supplying Edie with the cocaine for exchange of her body is now paying the price and blames Brent for her Sons death, so she and Brent both burry the body in the foundations of the house, where the basement is.

Brent’s Secret and Miscarriage; as Brent has a very misleading relationship with Edie, Brent has to tell her a secret. He’s Pregnant – With his ex-husbands baby. Brent has to say to Edie as she doesn’t understand him, that Brent is actually a Transsexual and hasn’t fully undergone the surgery. He still has a vagina, and so technically, he’ still a woman. This leads the Edie’s confession that she is a Lesbian and that this is meant to be love and pays for the abortion of Brent’s child and for the correction process, for Brent to be a proper man. After the operation, Brent becomes a womanizer and plays around with others. Edie finds out about the affairs with others and wants to tell everyone his secret, but he in return will also tell everyone her secret, that she killed her son.

Mike Delfino Dies with help from Lee and Andrew; Susan wants Mike dead, and asks Brie for her help. Susan wants Mike dead as he is trying to get custody of there child Maynard and Brie wants Mike dead for trying to kill Orson out of revenge for Orson doing the same to Mike a few years ago, and so Brie asks Andrew to murder Mike and says No, not by himself and so asks Lee to help him, Lee says yes, and so Lee and Andrew Murder Mike Delfino ‘Accidentally’ – While the girls go on there trip to Venezuela. Andrew and Lee invites Mike to join them on there mounting bike ride across the hills of Fairview. While taking a rest on the edge of a cliff, Mike drinks from his bottle – that has been spiked with arsenic, provided by Brie – and gently falls asleep – the boys Lee and Andrew push Mike off the cliff and Mike is most definitely dead, leaving Susan with a clear conscience that Maynard will be hers in the custody battle, but before the custody battle, who knows what will happen to Maynard?

Maynard dies and Susan’s Overdose; as the girls go on there 3rd annual holiday together to Venezuela for a week, Susan Forces Jenney and Lucifer to look after Maynard. They in agreeing do so – this is not to there wish of not looking after them. While on the Holiday period which is off 1 week, Jenny and Lucifer give Maynard too much salt, this ends up with Maynard been Accidentally Man slaughtered. They burry Maynard at the bottom of the garden and fail to tell Susan the bad news, they drive away out of town, never to be seen again. Little do they know that Brent saw the whole burying process as he was upstairs in his own house with the lights of. When Susan comes back she is distraught and goes to take her own life complete with a bottle of tablets and plenty of alcohol, she writes the other housewives a suicide note to say goodbye just as Mary-Alice did. The housewives come to her rescue just in time, but are they too late? Susan keeps this secret away from her lover, Jack – he is a business man, and is everything Mike never was – and doesn’t find out about Susan’s overdose until everyone else already knows, he leaves her, and so Susan is left with no one, only, Julie, who is away in Austria.

Brie’s Cook Book and Andrews Ending; Brie’s Cook Book is going to be the biggest and most successful cook book of our time, according to herself and to most people who know her. As Brie sends her Personal assistant, her son Andrew, off with the final copy of the book to the printers to be published, he gets involved in a car crash which Involves Katherine Mayfair – luckily, no one is hurt, but the damage is literally priceless – Andrew isn’t insured to be driving Brie’s car and so, he has no insurance to pay the $110,000 dollar damage that has been done to Katherine’s car. Katherine tells the police and Andrew is imprisoned for illegally driving. But where is the cook book? Brie is mortified that for the last 3 years, all her hard work and dedication have been put into this cook book, all, for it to be lost – Brie disowns her son for a second time and tells the police that he and Lee unlawfully killed Mike Delfino. – Brie and Susan are safe from not going into prison as they both have alibi’s given to them by both each other and Orson. Lee has an alibi and says that he was with Bob – Bob agrees with this and so Lee gets let off the hook. They move back in together.

Bob and Lees Relationship and the Adoption Process; Bob and Lee when back together clear out Mike’s room/The spare room and turn it into a nursery. They are going to adopt and they adopt a Taiwan Baby girl. Everything goes swell until the police muster in and investigate as they have had a mysterious tip off (from Susan, who has been told by Brie to tip the police off) and they arrest both Lee and Bob, they too go on trial and are released on bail – they have bail for 2 days only – in this time they decide to run away, but not to take Iwana with them. – They unbeknownst Susan tipped the police off about them and leave Iwana on the porch for Susan to take good care off, as they know Maynard has died and the Attempted suicide and do not want Susan to be lonely, they also write a note saying that they will be back in the near future.

Katherine’s New Job and The Cook Book; Katherine is very proud to announce that she is the New Cooking Editor for the Fairview Post and adds that its all down to Brie. Brie also went for this Job and didn’t get the job due to having no Qualifications in cooking or any evidence to show she is a good cook. But, Brie takes this as a complement from Katherine, but Brie doesn’t know that Katherine used her cook book to get her the job, and is going to publish the book under the name Katherine Mayfair and will not let Brie have any of the profits or proceeds. Brie finds out and takes Katherine to court. Brie wins the case, leaving Katherine without a Job and no Money – in doing this, Brie feels bad and asks when writing her next book if that Katherine would help her and they both would get credit for it. Katherine is sacked from her job as Editor and Brie is instated as the new Editor of cooking for the Fairview Post.

On Digital Spy, if you look at the DH section, the episode dates are listed, and the next episode is May 28th, the one after that is June 4th. And on Wikipedia, it's got the dates for the episodes, and they're the same.

I think it's upsetting that the original cast (kids) are going, thats why people aren't taking it too well.

I think...the reason is because they didn't know when the producer would pick up from the writer's strike. So, the scheduled it to finish until all eps had been released. Basically, they didn't know where they stood with the writer's strike etc.
