Belgrade - Three former members of the ongoing Serbian Big Brother show have been killed in a car crash, local media reported Saturday. Citing eyewitnesses and police sources, it was reported that Stevan Zecevic, 23, Zorica Lazic, 24, and Elmir Kuduzovic, 25, who were voted out of the Big Brother home ahead of the finale on New Year's Eve, were killed when their car crashed into a river late Friday night.

One person survived the accident on the Belgrade-Sabac road, 60 kilometres west of the capital. The car was apparently driven too quickly by Kuduzovic.

The company Emotion, which produces the franchise show, is likely to stop broadcasting the third show in Serbia just three days before the showdown vote was due to determine the winner among the 22 people who have spent time in the Big Brother's house.

Virtually all residents of the show became instant celebrities. Apart from lucrative job offers, many also receive invitations to host parties all over Serbia.

The three killed residents were on the way to a party in Sabac, along with three other housemates who were in a different vehicle.

The 100-day show, in which the residents are under non-stop surveillance, is broadcast by the B92 media house. Neither Emotion, nor B92 and the Big Brother sites posted news of the crash on their respective internet sites.

It is a major tragedy, as all of three were so young. They had there whole lives ahead of them and appearing on Veliki Brat had opened so many doors for them.

And no-one can be blamed for it, not even the voting public. The people voting didn't evict those housemates knowing that this was going to happen as a result of them not being inside the house. No-one knew it was going to happen.

Stevan Zecevic ZEKA-was one the happiest,and the most beuatiful guy in country...all the girls were going crazy for him..he was very good guy..

Zorica Lazic-also very beuatiful woman..she was very shortly in house,but still she made an impression...

Elmir Kuduzovic-he wasn't Serbian..he came from Bosnia to participate in BB..and he was driving the car...

I think,it isn't sure yet that no one was drunk..just one hour ago they all been in last special "Big Brother-Small sister"..and they were gong on that party..there was a fourth person(not BB member)and he was first who was driving,and than Elmir asked him to exhachange places... all the rest you know...

there wouldn't be final night!!!that was suposed to happened on 6 January but it was cancelled...all 7 rest members in house was released yesterday with no cameras,and their statments...no winner!!!they all have been given same amount...they split prise on 7 parts...I hope they will give the money to the families of died persons...:(

NO FINAL!!!last episode was yesterday night at 9:00 pm..without any show,current and past members,without their statments etc...it was an episode to remind and to remember Zorica,Zeka and Elmir..it was an episode,one hour of their moments in BB house...and nothing else...they didn't said exactly % rating but yes-almost all Serbia watched that...

Yeah, I know that there wasn't a final, but an special tribute.

But I would like to know if it's possible how many people watched the final. The news has arrived up to Spain, my country...

For example, in Spain there are 2 websites where it's possible to see the all programs and channels' ratings the next day to be emitted.

I think this is a sad tradgedy, and I think the producers did the right thing.
It would have been nice for the families of the deceased to get some money - but at the end of the day this was game show and the housemates cannot go unserved.

well you must understand situation..now no one is talking and thinking about that...newspapers,Tv stations no one...so I dont know exactly..I am not sure but at this moment I would bet that there will be Veliki Brat VIP 2& Veliki Brat 3..but for the next year they said a one month ago that only VIP 2 will be..and Veliki Brat 3 for 2009 year..

BELGRADE -- Stevan Zečević, Zorica Lazić and Elmir Kuduzović died in an accident on the Obrenovac-Šabac road last night.

The accident happened when their Citroen C4, driven by Kuduzović, swerved off the road.

Daily Blic reports that the vehicle skidded off the road after entering a corner too fast, flipped over on to its roof, and flew into the Vukodraž river near the village of Ušće, a few kilometers past the Nikola Tesla power station.

Vladimir Sarić, a fourth person who was in the car and was sitting in the passenger seat, was able to extract himself from the vehicle and call Nikola Negran, a local farmer and one of the witnesses of the tragedy, to help.

“I went out to the gate, when I heard someone calling for help, so I went to have a look. A guy came up to me, asking for help, saying that there were three people in the water. I brought the man inside, gave him a blanket, and then called the police,” Negran told B92.

Judging by the tyre marks, and as was later confirmed to B92 by the Obrenovac traffic police, Kuduzović accelerated as he was turning into a corner where there was a lot of ice, completely losing control of the car.

Another car carrying two other former Big Brother housemates, Tanja Obradović and Jelena Žeželj, was traveling ahead. They only noticed something was wrong after they had crossed the bridge and decided to turn back.

Zečević (born 1983, from Novi Sad), Lazić (1983, Zemun) and Kuduzović (1981, Tuzla) took part in this year’s series of TV reality show Big Brother on B92.

I completely agree. Even if they died, it still a game show and the finalists deserve to be here. If something happened in the BB House as an accident, I would agree to give the whole money prize to the families but as it hadn't happened the money goes to the finalists.
