Hi everyone,
Just thought that you'd all want to know that Boris was rushed into hospital yesterday afternoon with a severe abdominal problem. She had an emergency operation last night but she is now 'comfortable' according to the hospital. It was a really worrying night last night. Thank goodness she seems ok, so far.
Poor Boris :bawling: I hope all is ok with her! Thanks for letting us know Peachy! Please keep us informed on her progress,
I hope she gets better soon and I know everyone here will join me in saying
GET WELL SOON BORIS!!!!!!

Any word on how long she will be kept in ?
I hope to get a card tomorrow if I can, I then need to find a 1st class stamp
Is there some kind of service on the net where we enter the details of the recipient and our credit card details and an appropriate card is dispatched by either first class post or private courier ?

'WE' are repaired and recovering nicely thank you one all all.
( that peachy has blown our cover though)
Not a wonderful way to spend the Easter holidays. Definately NOT to be recommended.
The 1st couple of days were a bit 'iffy'. Huge 'repairs'....(never do anything by halves!)..... were needed unexpectedly. ( Legacy of previous surgery - but nothing sinister) Now, with a bit of luck , it is just a matter of time for eveything to mend. Have to admit it was a rather dangerous procedure because of the size and position of the repair. But all ok now.
Thanks again for all your good wishes.
from all 3 of us...LOL

Excuse me Boris/Duchess, or whatever you call yourself, lol, if you examine the evidence of this thread, you will see that it was not me who blew your cover. I beleive it was another.

Hello folks.
Sorry Bo, Duch, or whatever your name is!
I didn't read all this till just now, and I am completely contrite. Poor you.
I hope the repair of the unmentionables has left you in even better fettle than before. Do tell Nursey all about it when you can.
HOPE YOU ARE SITTING UP IN BED AND TAKING A LIGHTLY BOILED EGG BY NOW!

I had haggis last year in Scotland and was not enamoured. As far as I am concerned it goes with such other 'gastronomic delights' as chittling and tripe.
Definitely not for a recovering Boris although I have been told tripe cooked in milk is supposed to be a good meal for delicate constitutions.

Actually
I quite like Haggis
When I used to be able to buy it on Grainger Market, I would always buy one, then freeze it and take it with me when I visited my parents in Yorkshire. I would then prepare the neeps and tatties, on which you use quite a lot of black pepper.
It can be quite delicious. Unfortunately even the smallest haggis is a bit much for one person. I could try and get the "tinned" haggis, but it is not quite the same.
Boris! :wavey:
Sorry I've not been around recently . . . long story . . . . moving office - holiday - PC playing up again - whatever!
So sorry to hear you've been ill . . . . but great to see you're on the mend.
These are for you . . .

No, spare poor Boris from the Tripe!
Someone told my mum a similar tale when I was a child with frequent tonsillitis. I used to have to hide the b****y stuff under my bed unil I was better. It's vile.
I still can't stand to think of Virol for similar reasons......
