Im sure the subjects been brought up many times, but i reli am miffed about the whole changeover to E4 thing
prehaps i havent been paying attention, but i didnt find out until last night that the only part of the whole series shown on normal channel 4 would be half the launch night - cummon, half the launch night???!!
I do have a freeview box, but being a real technophobe ive been dreading having to work out how to plug it in and use it, something always goes wrong. and indeed, i sat down this morning in front of my tv faced with the horrific task of trying to set that stupid thing up in the hope that i might then be able to watch normal Big Brother; one hour and 2 electric shocks later,no freeview, and also no terrestrial tv either, i managed to screw that up in the process as well
damn you channel 4! ARGHH! All those of you in the same postition as me, join me in my angst! :cloud:

It was 60mins on Ch4
leaving 30mins on E4.

This is a Bang On hit for a age group
Endemol think.

All of them all young
so they think all young have E4 - no problem.

Anyone older
Endemol does not care.
Which is very typical of them.

I'm not with you.

Channel 4 had announced that this series would be E4-only from the moment that Celebrity Big Brother was axed, which was in August.

it is really annoying i must say as the only tv with freeview is the familytv, and the family hate big brother so i can hardly watch it =[

It was announced that BB CH was on E4, there is no surprise about that.

I think it it should be on C4 especially those people who haven't got excess to it.

ok, fair enough of they said ages ago. i just must not have been paying attention, or i thought at the time they were going to show it on E4 at the same time but always assumed that the raw, basic Big Brother would always be on Channel 4 until the digital switchover. Its just really annoying thats all, a real unnecessary pain for millions of people. Its a big show and always has been, its should be shown on Terrestrial. Ive been battling with my Freeview box all day and only finally got it to work this evening, but the signals really rubbish; way worse than terrestrial *sigh* i need a hug

Yeah I agree, what num-nut's idea was it to put it on E4, unless they just want people to spend money on getting that channel.

So due to this big Promo for E4
we are Lucky they went ahaed with it.

I think they put it on e4 because they were afraid it might flop. Maybe later during the show, if they think it's doing well enough on e4, they might cross back to CH4.

Sorry, but the last paragraph made me LOL.
It was announced way before that it would be on E4 anyway. And I doubt C4 would want another spring series of BB on their schedules after last year.

They probably won't cross over to C4.

I don't see why everyone is complaining. Freeview boxes are fairly cheap to buy and VERY easy to set up. As some people have said, we knew that BB:CH would be on E4 since August so surely that's enough time to get Freeview set up and working properly.

this maybe why it was on sky news today saying that it has only had half the amount of viewers as last year. so airing it on e4 only may not have been the best idea for them
