Nicole Richie has given birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles, according to US reports.
Harlow Winter Kate Madden was reportedly born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre on Friday, according to one US magazine, which quoted a spokesman for Richie's manager.
It is the first child for Richie, 26, and rocker boyfriend Joel Madden, 28.
Richie has rarely been out of the headlines since starring in the reality TV series The Simple Life with on-off pal Paris Hilton.
The socialite spent an hour in jail in August after being sentenced to four days for driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway while under the influence of drugs.
But Richie has recently showed signs of curbing her party girl ways - in December, the couple started the Richie Madden Children's Foundation to help the less fortunate.
