A YORKSHIRE chef had his dreams of appearing on Big Brother 5 ruined by celebrity cook Gordon Ramsay.

Bonapartes cook Tim Gray — roasted on Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares — beat 12,000 wannabes to make it to the BB shortlist.

But Ramsay blurted out his secret and Tim has been kicked off the list.

RAMSAY REJECT ON BIG BROTHER May 4 2004

THE cook given a roasting by Gordon Ramsay has been picked for this month's Big Brother.

Channel 4 bosses liked Tim Gray so much that when they discovered he had applied to the show they made him a finalist.

Tim's first television outing on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares ended with the top chef saying he cooked "like a t**t" and was "too busy playing to the cameras".

Ramsay added: "I had been told that all I had to do was strip away the pretensions, that he had the makings of a chef because he truly loved food.

"Did he ******! He was in love with the notion of being famous, not with food and that seriously p****d me off. All he wanted was his mug on the telly."

But a Channel 4 insider was impressed: "Tim was just great and when we were told that he wanted to be on Big Brother it was the icing on the cake."

Tim was sacked as the head chef of struggling Bonapartes restaurant in Silsden, West Yorks.

Chef seeks Big Brother fame

A hapless chef given a roasting by Gordon Ramsay has been shortlisted for this year's Big Brother, it was reported today.

Tim Gray wants a second shot at fame after appearing on Channel 4 show Ramsay`s Kitchen Nightmares.

Now he is in the running to be a housemate on Big Brother 5, which begins later this month.

When celebrity chef Ramsay visited Bonaparte`s restaurant in Silsden, West Yorkshire, he branded Gray`s kitchen a ``living fing nightmare``.

Gray, 21, admitted he had never cooked an omelette and nearly poisoned Ramsay with a rancid scallop.

He was on the receiving end of 71 f-words from Ramsay, who branded him a ``tt``.

But the experience has left him with a lust for fame.

``I`d like to be on TV. That`s why I rang the kitchen programme - I want to be famous,`` he said.

``People will forget the show but not me. I go down a road now and they spot me. It`s great.``

Big Brother bosses may decide they do not want a housemate whom the public already know.

I thought any housemate that got any where near press information or on tv was automatically out of the running for BB or am I wrong http://www.cheesebuerger.de/smilies/verbluefft/49.gif
