Big Brother 7 winner Pete Bennett has admitted that he is no longer interested in the show.

Pete, 25, claimed that the programme has dropped in quality since his own series aired in 2006, and confessed that he has not been following the current Celebrity Hijack show.

"I'm not watching Big Brother. Most people I've spoken to think it's quite boring," Pete told the Daily Star.

"BB7 was wicked but they followed it with the celeb series with Jade Goody. I didn't like it because of the racism towards Shilpa Shetty. I expected change to come with BB8 but it didn't happen. It didn't make me go 'wow' and there was another racist comment. I was a bit upset by the whole thing and it has put me off BB altogether."

Pete made his comments at the last day of open auditions for Big Brother 9 in London. He had been invited to chat to potential housemates and offer tips on how to impress the production team.

He can talk. Does anyone actually like celebs who trash the very show that made them famous? So why do celebs do it?

i dont think he should be slagging it off,if i was him id be hopeing and praying that the next series of the show that made me a household name was going to prove all the critics wrong.Id also being doing my upmost to help pursuade people to go to the auditions,encourage the bb team to keep improving the show and help keep the excitement of the programme alive.Having a bb winner slag the show off isnt going to do any good,but then again he shouldnt hve won in the first place it should have been Glyn or Aisleyne or even Richard or Nickie all more deserving winners than Pete but lets not get into that!

Of course he's not going to say that his series was the worst one, actually, Pete ruined it since day 1.

He's right about one thing. Hijack is boring. However, i can't believe for one minuite that he hasn't watched any since BB7.

why was he at the auditions if he dont like big brother??? plus i was at the auditions and he was noooo help lol he was just acting like an idiot not giving advice P.S i'd be surprised if BB9 wasn't crap as the people the producers were puttin through were soooooooo boring, attention seeking, fame hungry, vain and uninteresting!! i dont think the producers have a clue anymore, maybe it should be up to the public who goes in :D
