By The Journal

Alison Hammond, 28, lives in her native Birmingham and dates boyfriend Nordine, who she met when he was in the audience at one of her shows.

She began her media career at Central Junior Television Workshop. Her claim to fame is her participation in the third Big Brother series. More recently she has appeared in Celebrity Fit Club and as a reporter for This Morning.

WHAT ITEM DO YOU PRIZE MOST IN YOUR HOME?

"My treadmill. It's helped me lose nearly three stone. I use it first thing in the morning, last thing at night."

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE ROOM?

"The bedroom, because of my bed. I love it. If I was allowed, I'd sleep 20 hours a day."

IF YOUR HOME WAS ON FIRE WHAT WOULD YOU SAVE?

"My photos, pictures of holidays and my family."

WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH?

"I live on my own. I've only just moved out of my mum's house. I'm missing home a bit, but I enjoy the quiet of having my own place as well."

WHAT'S THE MOST UNUSUAL FEATURE IN YOUR HOUSE?

"All the nick-nacks I've picked up on my travels. Also, I have slippers for everyone who comes to the house, so the carpets stay clean."

WHAT ARE YOUR NEIGHBOURS LIKE?

"They're really nice and kind. I baked them a cake the other day."

WHICH IS YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE ROOM?

"My bathroom. I haven't decorated it yet. I know what I want, but it's just finding the time."

HOW DOES YOUR HOME REFLECT YOUR PERSONALITY?

"Quite smooth, relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, just like myself."

WHAT'S THE WORST PLACE YOU'VE LIVED IN?

"It would have to be when I went on holiday once and it was one of those last-minute deals. It turned out to be a horror holiday in Tenerife."

WHAT'S YOUR MOST EXTRAVAGANT PURCHASE?

"A huge mirror with a leather and stainless steel frame. It was £300. I'm an impulsive buyer who has to have stuff straight away, then regrets it."

IF MONEY WASN'T AN ISSUE WHERE WOULD YOU LIVE?

"On the beach in Jamaica. I've only been there twice, but it's made a big impression on me."

Thanks for that, James - very good interview.

I've warmed to Alison . . . thought she was too loud and attention seeking in BB3 . . . . but now I think she's lovely, warm, fun-loving and genuinely down to earth. Really admired her in Celebrity Fit Club too - she did fantastically well.
