Is John too boring and serious?

Do you think that John is very boring and serious? I think that he takes everything seriously and is one of the worst housemates that Big Brother has put in the house this year. His presence in the house does nothing for me.

He seems a very miserable person, he's failed to take part in a few tasks that hijackers have set the housemates and seems to pranks way too seriously. I think there were more deserving talented people out there who should have taken his place.
I agree with you Jackie, I think he'd have been one of the first out if he didn't have that free pass.

I agree with what everyone has said. He's using his weight for sympathy. He could really be outgoing, and it seems like others are giving him a chance but he's not taking it.

Nah I think he respects everything, he got principles on what is good or not then he can sound like serious but from what you watched on the launch night on the HL shows, he's just hilarious.

He does come across as simply wanting sympathy a lot of the time, but to be fair things are difficult in the house - and whether anyone agrees or not, I think he definitely has been picked on during his time in there. He can be serious at times, although he hasn't really bored me - I think he's got a balance. That's because I do think he has been quite funny at times as well, so I see him more as a witty person than anything else.

Hopefully we'll be seeing John out in 6th or 5th place on Monday, I bet some of the housemates have been eager to nominate him. I think if John hadn't taken part in his secret mission on launch night then he wouldn't have been in the house now and wouldn't be so 'popular' with the public. Although I doubt he has a very big fan base.

I hope it is shown on the h/l shows but I highly doubt it. :sad: If it's not shown then clearly John is being favoured.

Even if it was shown, I don't think many people would kick up a fuss neither, it would just be ignored. Bitchy comments are only generally picked up on when they come from a girl.

Yes I heard about that comment he made, appaearntly Kate even called Emilia to the D/R about it, Emilia was crying over to Nathan, people will say why didn't she go and talked to him about it, but he should of gone to her and aplogise.

If Emilia made a comment about John's weight, you could be sure it would've been on the next h/l show and there would've been an uproar.

But I doubt John's comment will be made out to look as bad as it is, and imo what he did was much worse than any bitchy comment Emilia has ever made.

Emilia's not exactly been the nicest person to john throughout the show.

I still find it funny, her 'this isn't politics' comment to john when he called the group a 'party' when he was just trying to keep the peace between victor and toya- just because she was too much of a dumb***** to understand 'party' can also mean group of people in general and not just a political party...

John's comment was far worse. And when she said that, that's was her immaturity coming at, for a guy who wants to be a politician he isn't very good. He still hasn't apologised to Emilia after he made that comment, which was out of order.

He never said incest, I know it seemed like he implied it. He might not even have meant it to come out that way though. You know, people say daft things when they are nervous.

I only say that because John seems to have been a nice guy throughtout the show so it would seem out of character for him to mean it like that.

If he did mean it that way though, you're right, it's far worse and going too far. Emilia does need to grow up though, like you say, she can be very immature...

I think John let who he was hold him back in alot of things in there. He had a free pass to the final so he didn't need to go all out. It was a predictable result but I don't know anyone who voted for him to win. People were more strong about other HM.
